We can do street tire vs street tire (no drag radials) or sticky tire vs sticky tire (Drag radials, et street or et drag). First to take the Win light wins.
You game? You have more mods than me and surely if a modded mach can't beat a stock LS1, you have absolutely nothing to worry about. It should be a cake walk for you.
Just thought I would add my car weighs 3660lb with me in it so don't think for a second it's been lightened in any way. It's a full weight mach 1.

nice times man, what 60ft's did you cut on that 12.69 run?
by the way, be careful, since he's an A4, he could be stalled to. you just never know...

The 6th and 7th digits of the VIN code denote vehicle series.
40: 2 door coupe
42: 2 door coupe GT
44: 2 door convertible
45: 2 door convertible GT
46: 2 door convertible Cobra
47 OR 48: 2 door coupe Cobra.
The 8th digit of the VIN denotes the engine.
4: 3.8L V6
C: 5.8L V8 Cobra R
D: 5.0L V8 Cobra
R: 4.6L DOHC V8 (MACH 1 ONLY)
T: 5.0L V8
X: 4.6L SOHC V8
V: 4.6L DOHC V8 (96-98, 99-01 COBRA ONLY)
Y: 4.6L DOHC V8 Supercharged (03-04 COBRA ONLY)
Now, the vin on my mach 1 has a 42 for the 6th and 7th digits which according to above is a 2 door coupe GT. The 8th digit is an R which is the 4.6L DOHC V8 found only in the mach 1. What does your mach 1 have in its VIN at those positions?
That's why a mach 1 is technically a Mustang GT with a 4V motor.

'body' code decodes as GT Coupe does not make it a GT....even techinically. As stated above..there are WAY TOO many difference....techinically and engineerically (if that's even a word).

Yes...the GT's and Machs have tremec 3650s.....HOWEVER, the gear ratio's in the tranny's are spec'd differently. THe mach has much better drag gears in 1-2-3...even better than the T56 in the Cobra. Just like the 03-04, Cobra R, and Viper all have T56 tremecs, but the gearing is different in all three.

Oh ya, and mine's also an automatic. He's a pretty decent driver, i've been in his car and seen him drive so his driving is not the problem. The interior is very nice but the performance doesn't cut it compared to an LS1.
Put down the crack pipe, and slowly back away.....

If he's hiding mods like a stall, that's kind of silly to be saying a mach 1 can't beat a stock LS1 now isnt it? I guess I could spray him and claim I was all motor then tell everyone how slow he is but that would be stupid.

I know this thread has been derailed, but to the original poster Stanger88, my roomate has an '02 GT with a handfull of bolt ons (CAI, TB, and a few small things) plus 4.10s and when all I had was a lid, I walked him VERY hard. Now that I have 4.10s he wants nothing to do with me....
About 3 days later I ran into one of his buddies with an '99-'04 GT (not sure the year) and all he had was CAI.....It was very ugly
But I'm sure after 14 pages you have most likely either lost interest or already made your decesion. Mustangs look nice, and if you are dead set on getting one go with the Mach1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
