Most will agree that the American cars have had quality issues in the past and that Jap manuf. have been generally better but taken advantage of American Auto quality reputations...perceived or reality.
I still have NEVER owned a foreign car other than a single Land Rover and never a Japanese car. The UAW is a problem that Ford and GM will have to deal with together. Oh, and I bet I'm older than you.
