well, and not 425hp, either. Thats at the engine, not the wheels. Not exactly data the consumer needs. More like creative advertising.
I have added over 50 hp to my R/T and it still isn't at the hp they advertise... which is 340.

"ONLY" header/hi-flow exhaust SRT-8s dyno @ 400+rwhp. I'm suspicious of the dyno. Don't dyno jets tend to post optimistic numbers? I bet if he tried another he would be at 380rhwp. Jet chips for SRT-8s have been shown to hurt performance as well.

Stock (360-370rwhp) SRT-8s trap 108-110mph.

Without knowing if it had heat soak or the 60ft, the I/E yet heavier Magnum posted a "typical" result.

Your buddy's SRT-8 s/b running even with you. Try taking out the Jet Chip and then comapring. His dyno seems high, his trap speed seems low. Doesn't add up.
The Jet Chip actually helped his air to fuel ration and he gained a few more horsepower. It leaned it out a bit. We tried it before and after the Jet Chip. Same ****.

When he ran at the track he had a 2.0 60 foot and his car was NOT heatsoaked. He got to rest the car for a while in between each run. He trailored it to Sacramento so it wasnt even hot at all.

Interesting. Why in the world would he trailer a fantastic highway car with street tires? That's gay. Unless he had a really good reason.

His time and ET sucked for a full exhaust car unless it was 90degress outside. I'm heading to Sac. to race on 12/30 and I'll keep you posted.

It was a cool day from my understanding. It was down in the low 70's high 60's. I was up there the weekend before and it was very cool compared to a month before.

I dont know why he trailored the car. We made fun of him for doing so. People at the track were making fun of him for trailoring a 13 second car lol.

Good luck in Sacramento. I might actually go on the 30th if my friends go. Maybe ill see you there. Keep me updated on your times.

I raced one of those 300 SRT8's, I pulled on him but for how nice and comfy there interior is, those cars are def no joke. I saw one of those Jeep SRT8's rip a 4 wheel drive burnout around west chester before and man did that thing sound mean, I fear those SUV's.

Most recognize that those things move out. Yes, they are quick and now demand respect. Did see few that moved out and took out some LS1's around here at the track, and some of the LS1's had heavy mods. For the most part, they do have the supporting power to run into the 12's with little to no mods, depending on temp, humidity and barometer! With some work, they CAN surprise even the more pricey Vette and other supercars. Still waiting to run one though not really seeking it!

My friend has an 02 SS with maf and flowmaster and he raced a srt8 300c twice and one by a car and a half each race in the 8th. I have out ran an srt8 charger in my lt1 car. So they are not that fast. They make good power though. Oh yea, saw a brand new challenger run 14.2 at our local drag strip. Not impressed by dodge at all.

3 yr old thread...

SRT8's can trap 105-110 (very inconsitant traps) so they are evenly matched for a stock LS1 F-body, FYI. From a 50 roll the advantage will go to an SRT8. We should all know this by now.
