from a highspeed roll, the bikes do have a disadvantage..... ive been in friends cars that beat 600s.... and my car has beat a couple too... but you have to be in a hwy speed roll.. any slower and you'll need a drag suspension amount of hook (along with the power) to get them....

think about it before you post.

from a DEAD STOP, yea...... why do they run 12s? is it the power to weight? no....
its from the low weight overall, allowing them to accelerate faster from down low... they dont pull as hard uptop..

running them from a fast roll, they lose that weight advantage to a degree, and the actual horsepower matters more..... and thats where a bolton LS1 can walk them... and a mild cammed one can jog away....

incorrect. the bikes get raped by aerodynamic losses. they just plain suck when compared to cars.

now, since you want to say incorrect.... tell me the incorrect part....

WRX-ERROR:
someone of my fatass stature that didnt ride perfectly would ride low 12s.... yes 11s are certainly where they should be considered to be, but i was mostly talking to the person i quoted. they said 12s and i wasnt going to argue over a meaningless number.

careful fellas, all it takes is a half way decent rider and you're done. before my cam, i would hang with R6's and they would PULL up top. i can at the katanas like nothing but R6's and stuff are quick. i have yet to race one after the cam, before i do race 1, im going to get my extra 2psi and then race, i want to have everything right before i go race 1.

just my .02

Yea you can pull on an r6 if you race from a 80-160 mph roll, but whats the point?

I have played with a few bikes, and I have owned a 600 CBRF4I, It is all in how you work your gears, My bike did not redline until 16 grand, I could be in first going 73 before I would have to shift. Meaning if I decided to, I could pop it into second and have almost as good as 1st acceleration. It all depends on the rider and what he knows his bike is capable off. And I weighted in at 185. Just becarefull, bikes are fast as hell no matter what, and it is really hard to tell what they have done to them. Just a simple switche of the can (meaning muffler), can increase there performance.

i thought you were trying to say it only had to do with weight and horsepower, nothing about aerodynamics.

bolt-on ls1 beating any of the NEWER 600's= never happen. i've raced a few from a dig and won every time, but using the juice and they were always closing the gap on the big-end.

100+hp at under 600lbs with rider, against 400fwhp at 3500lbs....hmmmm....the only bike you will beat is a 10 year old one.
TODAY'S 600s run low 11s in the mid 120s......they don't lose power over 100mph or something....they FREAKIN RUN AWAY and dissapear into the horizon......
a bolt-on ls1 WILL lose to a 600 by as far as the bike wants......

my boy has a 01' yzf 600r (not R6) and ive spanked him several times from as low as 40 rolls up to 120 or soi. I wont lie, the kid is fat and not a very good rider but i can sat i beat a 600 sportbike. Ive gotten walked by stock gsxr 600s etc. though. Douches that think theyre fast on 250 ninjas are the easiest prey.

Yeah, I don't know what some of you guys are taking about. Any of the newer 600s with a good rider is in no way a match for a bolt on only LS1. There top speed may not be as good, but they get there a lot faster.

I wouldnt even waste the mechanical stress trying to race one from a dig.
Or a new one with a good rider at all.
