Default GTO RUMBLE: Stock 04 a4 VS. Stock 04 m6

Last night a friend of mine and i took our bone stock GTO's out for some comparrison runs. I drove my a4 and he the m6. We are both very experienced drivers and have had a lot of track time with various vehicles. Our runs consisted of two of eachof the following scenerios: Dead stop, 5 mph roll, 55 mph roll. I counted off three honks on all of the races so i had a slight jump in some. I also left the tranny in "3" as opposed to drive to better simulate real racing conditions. I opted not to manually shift the auto to rule out any human error in the runs.

The Runs:
From a dead stop, I (a4) would jump out about 1 1/2 cars due to the m6's lack of traction ( 30 degrees outside & no burnouts). This distance would hold until around 90 when we shut down. From a 5 mph roll i would get the jump-in part to balance out the effects of the double-downshift from 3rd gear, and he would pull about a half of a car out ahead and remain that way until the low 100's. The 1-2 in the manual is potent with those gears and the auto couldnt quite keep up. Then from a 55 punch we were DEAD even until my car shifted to 3rd, at which pointed he would slowly inch away. They were all very good races I look forward to keeping everyone updated on further races-with mods!

Cool runs, I've always heard that the A4's and M6's in those cars were dead even in just about every way. I think I'm one of the few(around my area atleast) that actually like GTO's, I think there cool as hell.

I like em too. You should get a hood and a 05-06 rear piece for it. It will look so much better then. I love the LSx motors. I just overreved (mechanically too, 3-4 went 3-2 ) my 02 vette to the freakin limit. she apparently is fine.
