Default S2000

Was heading back last night from a club with my friends and i was in my Monte Carlo SS ls4 with 5 ppl in it vs my friends s2000 with him and a passenger. we both took off from about 80 and both of us were neck and neck. i was completely impressed by my monte holding up with that much weight in it. i am now really excited to race him on freeway with no passengers.

Nice runs, but I'm gonna blame the driver. Especially going from that high of a speed? Was his top down? And what year was it?

Edit: And so you know, I think an LS4 MC vs. a 00-03 S2000 from a roll should be dead even if it's just the driver in both cars. It's just the 5-passenger thing that's getting me. Especially if he has an 04+. Just wanted to clarify.

40mph is quite the deadspot for an S2000 as well... That (for me) is too high to use 1st gear, but it would be well below the VTEC-engagement point (6,000rpm) in 2nd.

I wasn't aware they had much of a "livespot"... My GTP pulled them like nothing, and that was before the cam/tb.

Nice kill.

A stock GTP will not beat a stock S2000 with a driver that knows how to shift decently. Especially "like nothing." I think when you say "pulled them" you mean "pulled one, cuz the guy couldn't drive."

S2000 really isn't worth the time. But then again I'll race pretty much anything.

Ok chief, I didn't say I was stock when I beat him. I had a 3.4" pulley(3.8 is stock), ported exhaust manifolds, PCM, 3" downpipe, and a 180 t-stat. I was putting 231 whp and 310 wtq on a dynojet at that time. I pulled him easily because they're not very fast. Plain and simple.

I love Seinfeld, but if I don't have a Seinfeld related avatar, people wonder what the hell Assman means.

As far as S2K's go, which isn't all too far, in bone stock form I can't say they roll out as well as people think they do. There is a black one that runs around my neck of the woods and he can't outrun me when I'm in my 3.4L. Granted we're not on the straightest of roads but still, you'd think he would be able to pull on me and get away. It isn't the first time I've chased him down either. Maybe the lack of a straightaway makes it difficult for him but I just don't see them pulling on an LS1.
