Brake boost....great from a dig...no lag....but bad for the rotors.
Race from a roll....save a rotor.

Since the auto's overdrive is 4th gear and the manual is 6th a similiar powered manual will usually pass the auto after 150 mph due to gearing.

Crazy indeed....

Try 12.21 @ 115.91. My brother did it in his auto '06 C6. Before you say modded, it was BONE F'IN STOCK, right on down to the runflats and paper filter.

Let's see your Nippon "wundercars" do that totally PURE STOCK, even on the better, stickier tires they came with.

Funny how it will still outhandle most of your stuff as well, EVEN with the crappy tires it came with.

Yes, granted it was done at Atco in near perfect conditions/DA, but it was done none the less, PURE STOCK. So much for American "inferiority", huh?

I would love to run in -3000 DA, all we get out here is 3000+ even on good days.

Supras are far from rice, and when driven correctly are just as lethal as any other RWD car. if I remember correclt Ryan Woon is in the 7's 180+ with his 6sp Supra....

If it's still going down Ryan and the Underground Racing Viper are suppose to race for the Fastest 6sp Record.

I NEVER said 2JZGTE MKIVs were not fast (or could not be made faster than rocket sleds).
I just could not bring myself to buy a Toyota, NO MATTER HOW FAST. Just as I could not worship them as everyone else and their great grand auntie seem compelled to do. There are just too many other cars out there I would rather own, some just as fast, if not faster.
Now before all of you importfanboyzz get on here and say you could never bring yourselves to buy "just a Chevy", remember a C6 Z06 IS A CHEVY. It's also one of the rides I would take before even an 8 second Supra.

No Inport fan boy here.....In all honesty is supras weren't so damn overpriced i would pick one up.... i've owned c5's, f-body's, and imports, i see them all the same.... expensive toys.........

I wouldn't buy a 8 sec supra or New c6z..... the real "golden egg" for a supra would be to fin a stock low mile 6sp tt, keep it for a few years and sell it for 60k, lol as far as vettes go it would be to find a one of 15 Aztec Gold corvettes or the 1 Convertible 6sp made or a Clean 01 Z06, only cars that will be worth money.

Supras seem to be the only modern car that gets more expensive with age.

No doubt due at least in part to F'nF, NOPI, riceboy worship.

Funny how TOYota could not give them away when they were new.

I'm guessing it had to do with the near 40k pricetag in the early 90's...lol

But i know what you mean about the Fan Boy Crap, alot of Supra Owners are right on par with Corbra owners, followed closely by SRT4's

The Corvette was almost canned back about 15 years ago. The C5 was *supposed* to come out back in '93, but the budget was so low they had to keep doing C4s through '96.

Yep. At the time Toyota was known for its economy cars, not sports cars. Paying over 40+ for a Toyota was unheard of. Most people opted to buy the Vette because of the name. Its cool though. Its turned into the most sought after used car right now and has kept its price up there.

No, before FNF/Nopie the Supra still had the same resale value. In truth, the value really never dropped much since 1993. They only produced 9K total MKIVs and the extremely high demand for them continues to keep prices so high.

Yea..Dont a 98 Viper and a 98 supra both go for around low 40's..

Even though the 98 Viper cost 75 grand and the 98 supra cost 45 grand..?

Vipers are holding their value very well. Supras are holding their value INSANELY well..

It is kinda funny how no one wanted them back then. But now their very sought after. Kinda like a fine wine. They get better with age..

IM REALLY HOPEING THE GEN 2 VIPERS ARE GONNA DO THE SAME THING SINCE THEIR BODY STLYE IS WHAT MANY CONSIDER THE TRUE VIPER..LAST I HERD THEY HAD WENT UP IN VALUE A LIL IN THE PAST 2 YEARS...

Time will tell though

This goes without saying. Eliminate it's Hollywood glorification, and watch it's value immediately decrease. I still have an early/mid '90's magazine comparison (Toyota Supra vs Chevy ZR1), and in it the Corvette dominates it in almost every category (save for the "two" things that almost always seem to have the only real relevance with those editing opportunists, comfort and cost)....

Heh, guess who won...?

An rx-7 has kept its value if not raised it since its release in late 92, the 1.3Rotary Motors albeit unreliable, are insanely fast when built right and in my opinion Better Looking and Faster than a supra...
