So does anybody know what I'm up against. It looks real light, but it sounds like a 4banger with a good fart can on it so I don't think I'll have a problem. So please resond and thx in advance. Can I take him? I'm pretty sure I won't have a problem, once we hit about 60 I should have him easy, but I really don't know.

toyota mrs
it was/is the newer version of the mr2 (both are not inproduction anymore). but they call it an mrs because it's a mid engine rear wheel drive spyder. it comes with a 4banger indeed. but as always, with the right person modding the car they can be made fast. i remember a while back when they first came out someone on the mr2 forums swapped in a 3sgte engine (i think that's the right code for the mr2 turbo engine) and turned mid to low 12s with just the swap and on conservative boost. but off the show room floor they were na.

I don't know what kind of car YOU have but those 3rd gen MR2's are slow as ****. Unless your car can't run better then low 15s, in which case you probably shouldn't be wasting your time racing anyways, you'll have zero problems beating him.

Yeah they need a better engine to do anything really. The swap is very common though and relatively inexpensive. Buddy of mine has an older body style with the motor swap and he runs high 12's.. puts down 306rwhp.
You shouldn't have a problem with that one though, I am a Toyota mechanic at a local dealership and personally I hate those cars (that body style).. but I like the older ones with the "supra-esque" rear spoiler.
