My uncle just bought a Mercedez E55 and he wants to race for fun, I heard they are supercharged, if it is he will probably beat me. My mods are a Rebuilt LT1, milled heads, K&N filter, Cut-out, everything else stock.
Will he kill me?

Those E55s will run mid 12s in the 1/4 at around 114mph.

What would i need to take em out, i Plan on getting LT,ORY, 58mm TB,Port the intake, 3200 Stall, Beef up the tranny, Tune.

^yeah, word. your going to get RAPED... and who cares "if its supercharged", thats no excuse to think your going to lose. lots of other class Mercedes Kompressors are not that fast, and those are superchaged as well

better add some 4.10s with that 150 shot on top of all the other mods too

03 e55 amg's run like low to mid 12's...STOCK lol...

and the new ones run high 11's!!!

The new ones are actually slower than the old model. The new V8 is N/A 6.3L, around 503hp. The old 5.5L with the blower was around 480hp but had ALOT more torque (I think around 100 more ft.lb.).

The times I have seen for the new model E63 is about 2-3 slower than the E55. Anyways, both cars are fast.

Throw on a 150 shot and put some 4.10s and you will have a good run.

HOWFAST

You will need a pretty good set of mods. Go race now. Add your mods and see how you do later. He could always have a I/C pump failure and then you will be racing him on just motor. When the I/C pump fails it shuts-off the S/C for safety reason. I almost lost to a modded GTO because of this exact reason. It's a simple fix but is common with the E55's. Good luck with your race.

I was looking into buying one before I bought the goat....they are FAST. They've broken into the 11s bone stock, they will run about even with a C5 Z06, trapping between 114-116 and I've seen traps as high as 118 on the MB forum. Sorry man but he will RAPE you. Get some more mods.
