Upcoming race...my 01 ws6 vs 04 wrx Yeah, my car is basically stock, SLP lid, and TB coolant bypass. This guy just got a 04 subaru wrx and we might race. Both of us use manual, who do you think's gonna win? I'm using 275/40ZR-17 98W RBL tires also.

We need some more info:
1.) Are you going from a roll? Dig?
2.) Is it a WRX STi or just a WRX?
3.) Mods on the WRX?
Scenario A
WRX
Roll: You will beat him by bus lengths.
Dig: He'll out launch you you will catch him and pass him like he was stopped.
Scenario B
WRX STi
Roll: He will probably stay with you until 115ish then you'll pass him.
Dig: He will out launch you and probably stay a car or 2 ahead

yea even if it was an STI they arent a big deal stock or even with a reflash. I crushed one with just catback and lid on the highway roll. Maybe from a dig it would have been closer for those mere seconds he can launch so hard on.

I can tell you from experience that you are going to MURDER him even if your a bad driver. I have a friend with a 2006 WRX that has intake, exhaust and a tune and I murder him by buslengths. From a dig he sticks with me till about 40 and then I pull past him like he's standing still (when I was stock). And I am an automatic. From a roll, it doesn't matter what speed we take it from...same result everytime...buslengths on him.

WRX's put down between 200 and 205 whp bone stock. With AWD you could only have half the amount and still be able to keep up with a a RWD car from a dig.
