06 GTO vs Old Vr-4 Galant
I was sitting at ta light and a white vr-4 pulled up next to me, revved and BOV. I rolled down the window to verify that it was a vr-4. AWD turbo galant vs. 06 M6 GTO.
---------------->Galant
---------------------------------------->GTO
I shut it down a bit through third. It would have been a lot closer if he had launched it. But o-well.
1st weak kill in the Goat.

Being that he called it a Galant VR-4 from the beginning, I'd say that's what it is. It's pretty rare and would be impossible to confuse with a 3000gt. Good kill. My friend owns one. Tons of potential with the 4G63 in there. Basically a 4-door Eclipse/Talon/Laser.

3000 (well 3009) GVR4's came to America. 2000 in 91 and 1000 in 92. I have 1101 of 2K as my daily driver and I absolutley love it. They do indeed have the potential of there DSM cousins but they also weigh more as they are 4 door and all came fully loaded.
You are wrong with the Mitsu CW myth. Did it happen to some cars yes, but it is not such a plauge as the internet would have you believe. It happened to some 2G DSM's, but of course every boyracer is quick to blame CW for ANY engine trouble they have. I bet if you ask 25 people who claimed CW that maybe 1 actualy measured the crank endplay to verify that is what killed the engine.
