Default Trans Am vs. BMW M3

So I'm pulling out of the mall and my buddy says there is an m3 up ahead the direction we are turning. So I pull out and pursue. Sure enough, looked to be about an 03' from what I looked up online. So I get up next to the guy and he looks over with this ****-eating grin and gives me a thumbs down and punches it. So I follow him, b/c there was too much traffic to run him right then. So we are coming to a red light to turn left and there are two left turn lanes and we both get caught at the same time. My prayers were answered. So he looks at me and says "you wanna run em". So I say, "sure, why not." So then he gives me the rundown saying that he hopes I have alot done to it b/c his isn't stock. So I said, ok, I guess you're gonna hand me my ***. So we pull out slowly till we get straightened up and he takes the jump about a half second before I do. I proceed to walk his *** so bad, it surpised me. I had him by about 6 cars halfway through 2nd in an A4. Then he was hesitant to get up beside me, but when he finally did I said "what happened, I thought you were gonna rape me?" He claims to have let out. Maybe so..........but I doubt it. First significant kill in a while. thanks for readin

Why would he let out if he thought he was going to kill you? These ignorant import guys are funny. Not bashing BMWs just the stereotypical guy that buys a quick car and thinks it can beat anything. He probably bought the $600 Dinan exhaust and a $500 "tuned" throttle body or some other BS and thought he gained like 40 HP. Nice kill!

+1 on that, I've run into two people just like that with M3's. They said the same thing and they got the same outcome. Nice kill fella.

Good kill, but what mods do you have? Cuz they are LOW 13s cars, that generally will run right with/behind a C5... so maybe he did let off, cuz he shouldn't have lost THAT bad.

Well, I have intake, gear, and exhaust with no cats. I agree that it will run right with a C5 on the interstate, but not from a low roll. They have like 340 hp, but they only have like 266 ft lbs of torque. That's where I got him. On the interstate, just like I was tellin my buddy that was in the car with me, that m3 is a whole different animal. But I do agree that I shouldn't have beat him that bad. But we both hit it close to the same time and I could hear him winding it out and I was just pullin past him HARD. I just love that I did beat him that bad cause he was runnin his mouth.

Why so much love for the M3 guys???

They run 13.5-14.2 at 99-106 mph. Go to their boards and read up a lil. I DID..

Their record for bone stock is a 106 mph trap speed with 90% of them around 102.

I raped my buddys bone stock manual 2004 M3 with my bone stock 2.73 geared auto C5 NUMEROUS times at all speeds as well as the drag strip..

It's fast for how nice it is but no were near fast like an LS1..

Go to their site and read up. You'll be surprised how slow they are..

M3's have been getting progressively faster for the last few years, they're not slow at all but it's not a car you'd mod.

good kill man.

Nice kill It reminds me when I raped a prelude from a dig sooooo bad and the guy told me, holding his cellphone:''Were you at WOT?, because I was on the phone!!(like he was not flooring it !!!)''. Always a good reason to loose to a V8.

HAHA! He probably believed himself too.

Good kill man. I've been thinking of buying a deep blue early '90s m3 over here in europe. It's caught my eye and I think it's just dead sexy. Can't get over it.

Gald someone else actually researches instead of throwing numbers around. There is one guy here that goes to the track and the best Ive seen him run is 13.8 @ 101 mph. They are quick but not "quick" enough.

There's a douche in a red m3 around here that will never race. He waits till there's traffic and floors it while dodging and weaving,he's such a douche. Good kill op,i have yet to meet an m3 driver that isn't a *****. (only met 4 or 5 lol)

You sure? I've ran em and they weren't anywhere near as quick as my buddy's stock (intake only) C5 A4. They're nice and all but I'd rather have a 335i lol... or how bout a vette for that coin? lol Nice kill.

I think what they "should" run, and what they do "run" is affected due to the average BMW driver. My dad's had 10+ BMW's in the last few years and he's probably never powershifted one, or hit redline in any; and he just sold a 2002 M Coupe same engine as the M3 (315hp and quicker than an E46 M3 due to weight differences)

They rev to 8100rpm with ease, and the average owner probably doesn't rev that high

i raced a supercharged M3 once...in a third gear roll to top of 4th gear..... he only put about 2 cars between us..... i was expecting much more of an asswhopping seeing as how he's boosting and I didn't even have long tubes at the time.....

I think M3's are overrated in straightline power... I've driven a few and wasn't at all impressed....

Hell, I wouldn't buy a M3 for performance. A straight up nice ride yea, but not to race around in.
