I agree, built motor on 14-15lbs of boost is going to be quick. I bet the car weighs well under 3000 pounds.

I think he does this often. I think he's going to walk you easily. $500 is allot of confidence and I think he's done it before.

he sounds like a real eager guy to prove something sounds like hes young and if hes driving a stick he could have all the boost but it will come down to the driver.. IMO just be real relaxed let your boys talk all the **** stay calm no you got the LS Gods on your Side and take it Win from the Dig expose his Weekness! Run whatcha Brung! no Pinks ish lol! I got a Friend With A TWIN TuRbo 300Zx well over 400 hp and his trap is like 124or25 ish mph BUT still runs a low 13 cuz He cant Drive soo with that said Do Whatcha Do!

You will die if he gets any traction, my eclipse owned stock ls1 cars on 15psi with only exhaust, mbc, and a tune. He is probably making 320-350whp if his **** is setup right and he weighs about 500-700lbs less than you. im sure i will get flamed for that statement, so **** everybody in advance j/k. BTW, dont put money on this unless you get a sorceror to enchant your car with a magical acceleration spell. Hondas suck but anything can be made fast with positive manifold pressure, just my $.02.

I would definately run him, but not for $500. Make it $100. You'll probably win, but why risk losing $500. I've seen a bunch of turbo honda's at the track that run like *****, but I have seen one that's FAST. The odds are in your favor though I think. Chances are his **** is not set up right. You can't just raise your boost level to 14lbs and expect it to run good on an 8lb tune. Just run him, I wanna see what happens...

Please get a detailed video to inform us all of situations like this, im sure this has or will happen to all of us at one point and most of the time the ls1 will KILL. But do not put money on this, I dont want to see an ls1 driver embarrassed by a pos honda.

Guilty.... Raced a built n2o hatch, gave him 4 cars and left late. Good thing i had an insurance plan, a 100hp shot. Took him by two cars in the topend. The next week he didn't come out, the following week, he came out turbo'd. Still wouldn't race me though.
Just pick your races wisely, learn to spot the weaknesses. Then take advantage of it.

At the track this past weekend, there were a bunch of various rice cars. I saw 2 actually make it down the track (I didn't see all of them since I was racing). One ran 14s the other a high 10 (RX7 turbo).

Race him. Chances are:
A. You'll kill him by multiple lengths
B. He'll break
C. He won't talk his dad into loaning him $500 and will not show up

I'm good at multiple choice. I'd go with C.

People street race on regular tires!?! This is madness!

My advice:
-have the money locked up before the race
-cover everything you can think of (leaving early, car breaks, cops show up, someone wrecks, etc) before the race
-insist on a flagger, then steal the hit
-mark off the quarter mile before the race and have a neutral spotter watch

I'm hoping that you're a decent driver. If he shows up with slicks or you shift like an old woman, you're probably gonna get clipped.

Not flamed, but, your last gen 'ludes (if it IS a last gen??) were in the 2800-almost 3000 lb. range (the untouchable VTEC was the latter weight). So that makes them about 200-450 lbs. lighter, depending on how the OP's f body is optioned (and what the drivers weigh).

Yeah, so im right. f-body=3400-3600lb; prelude=2800-3000lb, about 600lbs difference

My fully loaded SS weighs 3440 w/ HUGE rims. I think 3600 is a bit far off. Well maybe not for a vert. but a T-top/hard top car should not weigh more than 3500

You have a chance from a dig, depending on what speed you go to, otherwise you are going to get walked (if you go from a roll).

i would be carefull.. i have a friend with a turbo integra (t3/t4 turbo) at only 7 p.s.i. and made about 240 at the wheels. i took him but i only got him by 2 cars by 4th gear. Im thinking that a prelude with 13 psi will be faster. my car is lid/exhaust as well. race him from a dig.. traction will be hard for him haha

Well the race went down tonight, sorry no video. I won by the skin of my teeth to say the least, I guess the LS gods felt pity. If the race was a little bit longer he would prolly won. launch threw first he was in my side view mirror as I admired his headlights, then 2nd-3rd he was flying up to meet me ( vtec kicked in y0 ), and by 3rd his nose was at my door and inching up. I won't underestimate the rice again. Thank god he got such a crappy launch or I would be burnt.

After the race on the way back we did a ***** and giggles race from a 30ish roll. He got me by a car length. :O :O :O
