Mach1registry.org has an extensive ET/MPH list on their 1/4 Mile Forum. You have to be a member to get to that forum, but if you are, here is the link: http://www.mach1registry.org/forums/...ead.php?t=2860

There are no Mach's on that list with just gears running 12.x. There is one with DRs only running 12.99.

The quickest bone stock ones have gone 13.09, 13.13, and 13.17 with a MPH of 104-106.

While it is possible that a Mach with gears, but otherwise completely bone stock, can and has run in the 12s, I haven't heard of it, and it would certainly be the exception, vice the rule.

And btw...this is by no means meant to be derogatory towards the Machs....I really like the cars.

Yup. I would actually take a mach 1 over a terminator if I thought it looked better. I'm a N/A kind of guy.

I just went through about 300 time slips from our local drag-strip website trying to find a low 13 sec mach 1 for you guys. Not many of the mustang guys specify what type of mustang they have when they register.

EVERY f-body guy says Trans Am, WS6, SS, Z28, or Formula though.lol

Mach 1 with 4.10's is probably good for a 14.2 @ 98 mph. You should be able to take him easily, probably wont even have to floor it.

Nice kill.

That was a joke Im hoping....

4.10s and DRs even on GTs help a lot, on Machs there is a very high chance they can dip into the 12s.

I have raced 4 of them, 2 of them were a4 and the other 2 were m5 . IMO an a4 fbody V a mach a4 = fbody easy, a4 fbody v a mach m5 = driver race adv. mach , a m6 fbody v a mach m5 = driver race adv. fbody. I am 3 and 1 both a4 were by about 3-4 lengths me, but the m5 are alot faster 1 of them was 1.5 cars back and the other got me by about 3/4 of a car . On the one that i lost to i was gaining on him but, it was ever so slowly .

You are correct Bob....I would like to add two things though....
it is cheaper to toss on some DRs and hit 12s, than it is to slap on gears. Also, slapping on gears without traction, is pointless. Not to mention there are ALOT of members on there that do not post their times for the 1320 list.

I am not trying to make excuses, just simply pointing out facts. I am a long time member of that site, and can attest to the fact of alot of members not posting their ETs. The other points I made, are just common knowledge regardless of car being raced.

One of my good friends has an 03 mach 1. He has exhaust, ory. When I go home next week, we are going to get some runs in. I will have only a lid. I will let you know how it goes.

Mach's are few and far between where I live. I have owned my car 3 1/2 years and only raced 1. I won by 3 lengths 30-100. I had bolt'ons and gears, he had CAI and catback. Adv = Me.

I used to hang-out with a guy from work who drove a blue Mach m5.I used to roll to Firebird with him and watch him pull 13.0s to 13.3s.IIRC,he had cold air, exhaust, and some steeda suspension stuff. It was almost 100 degrees out,at least.
It was before I got my 98(I had a 96 Z28,but he was faster),so Ive never raced him in an ls1.Just my 2 cents.

It all depends on the driver. WS6 6speed VS a Mach One 5 speed is a VERY good race. Ive seen a WS6 and a Mach One on the highway after a car meet, they where right next to each other the whole way, it looked like a damn tie. Next week they where at the meet, and they could not call a winner, from a dig they where at each others door's, and from rolls on the street / highway it was the same outcome. WS6 has 30,000 miles on it, guy picked it up from a dealer a few days prior, and Mach One has low miles, 03 and bone stock.

i ran a mach 1 in my lt1 (the one in my avatar). i messed up and started in 3rd at 40 mph (...) but i kept a one car lead on him the whole time up to about 100 i think?

mines a hotcamm'ed lt1 with fulle xhaust (lts) ignition and valvetrai stuff (springs roller rockers) and 4.10s

i asked what he had he said "not too much' with thatdevily smile that all modders get when their being humble. definetely had exhaust though!

I have to admit that for 4.6 liters of NA power the mach1s do move pretty damn well. Those extra valves pretty much make up for it's lack of displacement against the ls1.

There was a mach 1 on some drag radials down at my 1/8 mile running 8.3's stock(motor-wise, not even CAI).

Same day a stock(even stock lid) T/A vert a4 with drag radials was running 8.7's

Mach 1 > LS1

j/k, but if I could own any other car besides my ls1, it would definately be a Mach 1. Actually I would like to own both.

Ohhhh Boyy here we go again..... come guys..I think this has been covered before.
However, my MACH 1 ran the time im my sig. I ordered the car in Feb of 2004 and got it at the end of May. I put in a K&N and went to the track in early June. That is what I ran on street tires at Raceway Park in Englishtown, NJ. I am by ar NOT the best driver and had some real bad runs. Some even in the 14's. However, the trap was always good, so I new it had the potential. Getting it to hook was the key. Feathering the clutch until it caught..then tromp on it hard, shifting at 6400 rpms and power shifting.
Let's not go through this again

BTW.... LS1s run just as good if not better and with great trap speed also!!! So why is a low 13 sec MACH 1 hard to believe. My MACH weight in at 3385 and is rated with 310 FWHP.
