LS1 vs LSJ
I need some back up on how many wins to losses between any LS1's vs Cobalt SS/Ion Redlines(LSJ motors). Cause I was on redlineforums.com and alot of LSJ's are bragging to beating LS1's. So gimme some back up people. I'm trying to prove that if they did win, that they beat the driver and not the car. So post up, if you have vids, post links too....Personally, I raced a stage 5 RL and pulled him from a 40mph roll. That was when I just had my intake and full exhaust....

See...this is exactly what I'm talking about....LS1's put down great numbers stock. My friends LT1 (stock) pulled my friends SS(stock) on the parkway from 65-150. So how are those cars beating modded LS1's?

Are those cars even light? I hear they are pretty heavy for their size, like 3100-3300 lbs. Whats that, 100 lbs lighter than our cars? With way less hp, torque, or aggressive gearing. Maybe with a ported blower, small *** pulley and other stuff they could beat some slightly modded ls1's, but a cam only F-bod will rape the lsj

The LSJ that ran me had stage 5, which is the ported blower, 2.8 pulley, injectors, and all that stuff, but when it came down to it, it could stay with an intake and full exhaust LS1.

No replacement for displacement......LS1>lsj.End of story. If you are pulling up to light and are nervous because a cobalt or a redline is sitting there, sell your FBODY.
I know that the smaller,4 cylinders are capable of puttin down some numbers.
On average an lsj isnt in the same class. Its like an LS1 vs a Viper.Maybe the LS1 can take the Viper with mods, but not stock or even lightly modded.

Well of course I'm not worried about racing an LSJ....but I just need like knowing I'm talking out of my *** when I'm on the forum telling them they are beating the driver and not the LS1. For instance, I was at Atco Raceway last Tuesday, and this kid just got his WS6....14.0 was his best pass....maybe an LSJ will beat that driver....but sure as hell not me...

From what I've seen here on the boards...Atco is also a really fast track isn't it? But possibly those SS/RL drivers are running into really shity F-bod drivers. One guy on there said he took a z28 with stage 2...I was catching my friend pretty good and he has stage 2. I also have 2 alpine type R's, a full tank of gas, and a 200 lbs passenger.

i have a friend that ran his ion redline at the track(5000ft elevation) He put down a good time of 14.5 @100, he has a 2.8 pulley, intake, tune, injectors, and exhaust. but then again stock ls1 f bodys are going any where from 13.8 to 14.6 up here. he also THOUGHT he could beat me. we ran from a 40 roll to 120 and by 120 i could barely see him in the rear view mirror...

Wait a second, LS1 owners are going into OTHER FORUMS KILL SECTIONS? OMFG!!! With the way SOME of you act about the mustang owners and evo owners coming on this site when a fishy story about beating a mustang arises....irony anyone?

Ive raced em all and the only one who even gave me somewhat of a challenge, was a ???? and im talking maybe 3 cars by 140, and he was heavily modded, like one of the posters say, if your nervous when your at a light against any of these sell your fbody, they are ok for what they are, but a lightly modded fbody should walk them

I was on the forum to find out some info for my friend who has a SS....and I just happen to come across some distrurbing LS1 stories....and thats what this all started over...I mean, the cars themselves aren't bad, just when people start to over step their bounds and start saying they can beat LS1's. When in reality they are beating the in-expirienced drivers.

The LSJ can be made to beat an LS1 but stage 2 won't do it. Stage 2 is crap my cobalt will smoke the **** out of those. My cobalt can beat a stock LS1 but by no means is it rape. Just a nice steady pull. My friend who's cobalt is pretty similiar to mine ran a 13.3 @ 106 with a 2.1 60'. His slicks were rubbing the shocks really bad on the top end of the track and that hurt his mph and et badly.
To summarize my point, LS1's should not worry about LSJ's.

On nissan forums 350z owners brag about beating the crap out of ls1's, Ford forums GT owners, Dodge forums Skittles, etc. etc. etc. Who cares. As long as these morons lie and other morons believe them, we'll have plenty of easy fodder out there on the streets.
