When i first got my SS about a month ago i took an o4 mach1 m5 from a 20. He jumped me but i passed him and held a car length to 130. All i had at that time was the lid and CME that came on the car from slp. He was the closest race i have had w/ a mustang so far. I guess i have just picked the right ones. I call them out with a lil rev., then spank them on the street. lol . So far i have not been let down.

Nice kill..
Dave you should stop drinkin the crazy coolaid and step into reality. They are a close race from a dig with equal drivers. PERIOD!
Also, to the guy who's bro has the mach. What track are ya'll at cause those stock times are slow for both of your cars. I went 13.2 at 109 in a intake, catback, 5 speed Mach. (Stock tires were sort of bald so traction was an issue)

As far as your personal experience goes, that all means nothing once you factor in your terrible outlook on the subject, which could be considered negative at best.
What did your car run with only a lid and catback btw?

If you were talking to me, it ran a 8.90 @ 80.74 w/a 2.04 60ft. I went last week in warmer temps and got 8.76 @83.34 w/a 2.08 60ft. The track is not the greatest.

I went 8.6 in my stock 01 GT (1.90 60') I trapped a very slow 100mph in the 1/4. Imagine what I would have done with a car trapping 106-07. To say that a mach can't run similar times to an LS1 would be stupid.

Lets cut the crap shall we?
Generally speaking....
Machs all weigh pretty much the same. They are all geared the same. If every Camaro made came as M6 hardtops and equippped with the 3.42s, the Camaro would win every time. All these Machs claiming it's "a drivers race" are the ones who caught an auto from a roll, pulled a fully optioned vert, just came across a bad driver, etc. There's just too many variables with the F-bodys. If you pull a Mach, you only need to know auto or 5 spd. and that's pretty obvious.
At the track however, the Machs have that steep gearing and a rear end that wont explode which is a HUGE advantage. I remember launching very cautiously when I went to the track so it would live another day.
Anyway, since I drive on the street everyday, I'd much rather have the advantage there. And everytime I race a Mach it reminds me that I do.

hmmmmm never realized this site had so many mustang owners registered, 2 bad most of them don't really post in any tech threads and just troll around the street racing section ready to pop up and defend the mustang if any lsx car beats it, mustang owners are some of the most weird insecure people ive ever met.

I probably have nothing to contribute to the tech threads because I don't know a thing about the LSx motors. I just know that I like to race and I don't care what I race against. I enjoy it for the rush and excitement win or lose. I choose to do this at the track so I don't care if my car can't pull on a LS1 at 130mph. Actually, now with my 4.56's, I can't go over 120mph in 4th gear anyways
