sounds about right to me. i raced three C6 Z06's last year at the 1 mile top speed shootout the day before the silver state classic and i beat 3 of them with my 2001 viper ACR.

alright guys i dont wanna sound like a sore loser but here goes. i may lack a bit with power but it's nothing a small shot of nitrous cant fix. keep in mind my car is a 110K mile driveline with a cam only LS1 with minor boltons untuned. i wanted to know if my car would keep up. you guys may think i'm just blowing smoke up your *** but i was running third gear soft launches off <2500 rpm which WAYYY below the band. this is my daily driver and not worth killing to keep up with a couple exotics that still have warranties. but that's a damn nice viper and that ACR is pretty sick also. good race guys and maybe we'll see each other again.

FWIW I think you could beat a 2002 c5z06..Wich is no small feat and possibly run dead even with a stock GTS...

My last 99 viper lost to a C6z06 by 1.5 cars from 60-140 mph..My SRT10 is just as fast as my old Viper..Maybe faster...

So your death is pretty honorable man...

forget the NOS..And go get a tune and some light head work pushin 450 rwhp and come show us whats up...

good kill and screw the warranty. i wouldn't let GM touch my 07 Z, and you really want dodge touching that monster?

tell me some more about running a procharger in that? i'm fixin to drop one in my Z and run 5-6psi on stock internals. i've got a large cam now, but will have to swap that out for blower cam. it should put about 680 rwhp on conservative tune. ive heard of TT on those vipers (heffner TT is my DREAM car!!!!), but haven't seen or heard of any SC'd vipers. what do you expect to gain? stock internals?

 

It amazes me how fast you opinion changes on cars. When you bought your C5 it was the best thing in the world. Next, you buy a RT/10 and it becomes the best thing in the world. You continually bashed SRT-10s when you owned your RT/10. If I remember correctly you said that they were ugly and were not any faster than a RT/10. Then you crash your wife's RT/10 and she buys you a SRT-10 and now that is the best thing in the world. I am sure after this SRT-10 gets wrecked or you sell it, there will be a new car that is "wayyyyyy" better than the SRT-10 "in just about every way."

I was wondering about that too. He specifically called Scott and me out on a thread from our local forums. Promised to be able to put multiple car lengths on me before I would catch up as well as a few other things.

 

I'd love to get in on that fun...
