Hey man it's called upgrading..

C5 =0-60 in 4.9
Rt10 =0-60 in 4.0
SRT10=0-60 in 3.8

C5 1/4 mile in 13.3 at 108 ( maxes at 111 mph)
RT10 1/4 mile in 12.2 at 118( maxes at 121 mph)
SRT10 1/4 mile in 12.0 at 120( maxes at 123 mph)

C5 top speed is 173
Rt10 top speed is 177
SRT10 top speed is 193

C5 braking is very good
RT10 braking sucks
SRT braking is the **** and world class

C5 handling is good but a c5z06 would destroy it
RT10 handling is really good and maybe a tick behind a c5Z06
SRT10 handling is Extremely good and will out handle a C5z06 no problem and has tied/beat c6Z06's in more than a few magazine reviews

C5 top came off easily and stored in the trunk nicely in two minutes
RT10 top is twice as heavy as the C5 top and came off hard and has to be stored at home as the trunks to small
SRT10 is a true convertable with a top that can be folded down in less than a minute

C5 headlights are average
RT10 headlights are average
SRT10 headlights will blow your mind and dim is like high beam of the RT10

C5 is easy to drive everywere
Rt10 was very hard to drive everywere ( bottom splitter scrapes on freakin everything man) and you have to take your time on ANY grades
SRT10 is nearly as easy to drive as the C5 except tourquier and it takes grade changes no problem

C5 interior is average
Rt10 interior is average
SRT10 interior is a lil above average w/ push button start and (nice leather/suead seats)

C5 fit in finish is decent at best with many gaps
RT10 fit in finish is even worse than the c5
SRT10 fit in finish is heads and shoulders above the two and porshe like

C5 is a nice exterior but to common
Rt10 is a nice exterior but 1uped by the GTS/ACR
SRT10 looks boring in pics but INSANE in real life Every neibor has come and said they like the SRT10 better than the RT10...While the SRT10 was parked next to an ACR ( both red) a spectator said they liked the SRT10 better..

I think if you like MEANESS then you will prefer the GTS exterior ( high and curvy)
If you like exoticness then you will prefer the SRT10 ( low and wide)

Eigfhter wayy there both nicer looking than my RT10 was..But the RT10 was nicer looking than the C5

Now to the number ONE reason i like the SRT10 better


C5= out of 150 runs at the same location with a electric timer I ran a 12.6 at 112 mph

-LS6 heads
-224/224 cam
-no cats
-no muffler
-KN filter
-Diablo tune
-vararam intake= 0-60 in 4.3 and 1/4 mile in 12.6 at 112 mph

RT10= out of 75 runs at the same location as the C5 with an electric timer I ran a 12.2 at 121 mph

-no cats
-smooth tubes
-AEM tune
-KN filters
-1.7 roller rockers= 0-60 in 4.2 and 1/4 mile in 12.2 at 121 mph

SRT10= out of only 10 runs so far at the same location with the same electronic timer has ran 12.0 at 120 mph

-KN filters
-1.7 roller rockers= 0-60 in 4.1 and the 1/4 mile in 12.0 at 120..

* by the time I have 50 PLUS runs with this car ill be hitting 11.8's at 122*

A stock C6 Z06 DRIVEN PROPERLY would kill an SRT-10 from a 50-150 roll. Who cares what happens when the driver/car is new to the game. But Killemall will only admit that the C6 Z06 is only "barely" faster. It is called D E N I A L..

yeah , i'm also about to start a thread on my local forum, asking if they know anyone with a new 08 Viper....

i wouldn't mind getting that on vid considering what i did to a 460rwhp viper the other night, and a lot of viper douche bags at viperalley saying my car won't hang with one

Haha, the idiots over there think the current Viper is close with the C6 Z06, so anything that comes out of thier mouths has no credibility at all.

UMMMM....A stock c6Z06 is faster than a 2006 SRT10..

Ive said it a million times...

11.7 at 124 on average is faster than 12.0 at 120 mph on average

A C6z06 is 3 tenths and 4 mph faster than a SRT10 on average

3190 pounds for the 07's is 190 pounds lighter than the 3380 for my 2003 SRT10..

190 pounds and 3.42 gears vs 3.07 gears is the reason for the 11.7 at 124 > 12.0 at 120..

BUT..On a roll ace of 70-140 mph with the weight differance meaning less and the gear differance meaning less and the TOURQUE of the viper it's pretty damn close..But I still give a slight edge to the C6Z06.

On a road course it's pretty dead nuts with the SRT10 winning a few and the c6z06 winning a few...they are usually within a tenth of each other right?

I beleave the fastest ever 0-150 mph for the C6Z06 was a 17.9 and the fastest ever for a stock SRT10 was 19.5...

So yes the c6Z06 is faster..

Dosent really bother me man..Id rather be driving the viper than the vette..

About 3 years ago when we had a drag strip and I was a 2004 c5 owner I went to the drag strip 3-4 times per month all year long here in hawaii....Of course i would fit in with the other C5's and we'd be 4-6 strong with 1-2 C5Z06's...

We had BEAUTIFUL modded C5z06's that were running good times at the strip. people would come check them and our c5's out and they were pretty much the life of the strip so to speak generating the most attention...Times were good and it was fun..

But ill never forget the day a red GTS followed by a blue GTS rolled in to the drag strip. Suddenly are group of c5's and c5z06's were mortals..

the blue viper was bone stock and our modded c5z06 was running times just as good to slightly better. BUT NO ONE CARED..

THOSE TWO VIPERS MADE TIME SLOW DOWN...And everyone forgot about us c5's and C5Z06's and gathered around the two vipers. I mean everyone..Pictures..cameras..yada yada yada..

It was in that moment that i ealized that I no longer wanted to be a vette owner and would one day own a viper

0-100 Viper 7.6 Vette 7.7
0-150 Viper 17 Vette 17.5
Top Speed Viper 202 Vette 198

It is so sad that the Viper has 100 more HP and is BARELY any faster than the Z06. The differnce is so minimal it seems like that even a properly driven street race can go either way depending on the slightest reaction time. Sad for Dodge....and Killemall..lol

17.0 vs 17.5????

I could have sworn the fastest ever for the C6z06 was 17.9..

Show me were I can read these my self..

Ive seen same day same conditions runs were the 2006 SRT10 ran the same exact 1/4 mile times as the C6Z06..So whats your point?

We all saw the vid of the..

-SRT10
-C6Z06
-911TT
-Audi R8

The C6Z06 and SRT10 both ran 12.1's at 122 mph

As well car and driver ran a 11.7 at 123 mph in a stock 2004 SRT10 when they pitted it against a 2005 FGT that ran 11.8 at 124 mph at the same track on the same day..

Motor trend ran a 11.7 at 123.8 in a 2003 SRT10 back in 2003...

Do you really think that with 100 HP more the SRT10 is only gonna best that by 1 tenth and 3 mph??????With a magazine best so far of 11.6 at 126 mph????

Come on man stop dreaming..

The 2008 is gonna run 11.4 at 130 mph in a magazine coming real soon...

you know what, i felt that way the night i pulled into car meet down here where vipers, vettes, mustangs, early muscle cars, and even some exotics go...

as soon as i stepped out, everyone was looking directly at my car taking pictures, posing in the front the car with their cameras, and even looking inside, because frankly, im sorry to say, but the interior is better than a viper...

Heres a reallity check for you..

In 2002 GM gave the Z06 a new cam producing 405 crank HP. The car MSRP'd for 50K..

It ran 12.4 at 117 mph in it's fastest publication ever " motor trend"

It's competitor was the 2002 GTS that was runnin only slightly quicker 12.1's at 119 in it's faster publications..

"WHAT IF" Gm had dropped in a more agressive cam in 2002 that still idled like stock bbut produced 440 HP insteadof 405 crank HP????? They could have done it pretty easily..

The car would have ran 12.0's at 120 mph and been on par or able to edge out the GTS viper. They could have even raised the MSRP tp 55K...

"What if"

Ill tell yu what if..It wouldnt mean ****..A 2002 Z06 can be had all day now for 28-32K..It was a HELL of a performer back then and still a strong performer nowadays..

But it was still a vette that looked just like all the other 30K vettes made per year..And now there barely 30K cars..The second a faster Vette came out no one cared.

The same thing will happen to the C6Z06..It's a hell of a performer but at the end of the day looks just like the other 30K C6's produced a year..

As soon as the new C7 comes out it's price will drop like a rock and there you go. When the C7Z06 comes out..It will drop even more and like the C5z06 no one will care..

Yet people still lust after a 1996 GTS and will pay more for them than a 2004 C5Z06

So you can spout numbers till your blue in the face man. But Ive had my new vette and been the guy staring at the Vipers as they rolled in...

Fadi..You said your self that the last SRT10 you raced had it's own presence....

It's that rarity and prescence that let Vipers keep high values, while Vettes drop..

Honestly..A 1993 Viper is worth as much as a 2001 C5Z06 in todays market. Yet they both MSRP'd at 50K respectively....

So like I openly admitted. A stock c6Z06 is 3 tenths and 4 mph faster than a stock SRT10...Other than that I cant think of one reason that Id rather have the C6Z06 over the SRT10...

-paint quality
-fit and finish
-rarity
-looks
-interior (seats)
-V10

Too me these go in favor of the Viper..Im procharging the viper to 600-700 rwhp..So pretty easy to make up 3 tenths and 4 mph..

but can I change the C6Z06 to look like my viper instead of like the 90K C6's produced from 2005-2008? can I change the fact that there were more C6Z06's made in 2007 than there were SRT10's built from 2003-2006?

Bette tha a GTS..YES..better than an SRT10... NO

The SRT10 leather/suede seats make the Z06 seats seem like somthing from a cobolt..

You have a white RonFellows Z06 That is in a differant class than the other C6z06's. White Is Bad *** and that car is rare. **** id take pictures of her if you rolled up..

If the Ron Fellows C6z06 had been available from day1..I might be in a diffeant car right now..

It's not all about numbers in the1/4 mile ect. Rolling up in a car few other can have simply because there wernt many made is bad ***..

In my 13 months of owning vipers Ive never seen another one driving on the road unless it was arranged by me and a buddy to meet some were..

ive seen 4-5 Vipers driving on the road in my life. I suspect your white RonFellows c6z06will give you the same joy

I always go by actual registratins..

My registration says 3380..What on you registration for weight..

the reason i use registratins is because people will hunt down the lightest possible weights they can find on the internet and post them or go on a scale with an 1/8 tank of gas..

man I love your RF....My c5 was white and I loved that color. Then the lil red stripes just really do it for me..

Was the recent street fire video of the GTS pulling an RF Z06 and red C6Z06 Hard your car?????

yeah thats my car, i didn't go on the first run because i wasn't ready, and that viper is on a 200 shot , and the black Z is spraying as well

and thats a modded red C6..on the very last run the viper didn't spray, thats why he got yanked by both the Z's on the last run..lol
