Default raced a ram srt10

Finally got to race one which was cool. i caught up to him on the highway doing 90 and dropped it into 4th and got his attention. we punched it through 4th gear and i put about a car on him before he backed out.

nice little race, i was happy with the results

I would never buy one but I had a friend who did and he let me drive it. Must say it was fun as hell, for a big *** truck it would smoke the tires at 70 without a problem. I didnt have my SS at the time but my bud scott did and raced him spanked it pretty good.

LIke I said, most already will run high 12s. Launching them is the biggest problem. Hell, not many people can drive a stick, let alone 500hp truck with an open bed. It's taken time. People were running 14s, rofl, when they first came out. Now after a couple years of practice, people are posting how they do it, like anything else. Mashing the pedal isn't going to do it. I mean, look at our cars, I've seen people running 15s at the track with ls1s. You can't just mash the pedal and hope those tires hook, rofl. It's just not going to happen.

Anyway, check srt-10 truck forums. Look at the track times.

@ the track we have a few SRT-10's, they are fairly quick but like you guys said they have launching problems. This one didn't even launch at all I mean really took off slow and then sort of punched it in what I assume was 2nd, he still ran a 13.3! That is insane to me, imagine if he could launch that beast!

Yea there decent....I saw the quad one run a 14.1 at 100 mph...I personally thought that was pretty impressive..

Realistically I think the single cab will run kneck and kneck with an auto Fbody stock for stock...

Considering it's a big *** truck thats pretty kool

The quad cab version comes with an auto as an option. They should still post mid 13s with a decent driver. The regular cab 6sp should be slightly quicker than the average ls1.

I know what a srt-10 is retard, and yes they made a 4-door. The 4-doors hit 14s and sub-100 trap speeds most of the time which could be bested by a V6 Altima especially from a highway roll, pitiful if you ask me.

Well, i had a run in with one on the interstate with my buddy in the car about 2 weeks age, it was a quad cab, i had to pace him for awhile until he would bite, he hit it at about 65 and i reeled him in pretty quickly and passed him, he tried to fly by after i got out of it but i punched it again and stayed ahead of him. I have driven the regular cab 6 speed one before though, and it was actually pretty impressive, i couldnt stop boiling the tires though in 1st gear.

I don't know, sounds like a driver issue to me. Those srt 10 rams, even the quad cab has some pretty good grunt and certainly designed for 150mph crusing.

http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...fications.html

Motortrend isn't known to be giving best times, but they posted a 13.7. There's always better real world numbers.

I don't know why you dislike it, it's pretty stout for a 5600 pound vehicle. Hell, even the ford's harley davidson turbo only ran a 14.4 and it's 4800 pounds if I remember correctly.

Only thing I didn't like is the 4.56 gears in it, the regular cab has the 4.10s. I'm sure had something to do with the auto versus the manual.
