Default another 46 bites the dust

I was cruising down a local well known highway when a 99-04 Gt with I hope no more than exhaust kept reving up and taking off beside my (stock lt1 car). It's actually a gutted 94 with ls1 6m. We came to a stoplight and turned around to what is basically a drag strip with no one around. I rolled up beside him in 2nd, looked over, pushed in the clutch, nodded and revved. He took off, I dropped the clutch and started spinning by him by about half a car. When my car hooked I yanked him about 5 cars speedshifting to 3rd. When I looked back I was so far ahead and going so fast I hit the brakes. When he pulled back up at the next light I asked him if I left too early b/c I thought he let out or something. He said, "nah man you kicked my a** anyway." His passenger said, "dude that was awesome" So maybe I converted another ford or ford guys to lsx.

I am a bit confused. If I am getting this, you have a 94 with an LS1 and 6 speed. Gutted. Ok I got ya now. No wonder you murdered him. After the first read I was thinking you still had the LT1 and he had a gutted 94 Mustang with an LS1 6 speed. LOL. My bad, its early. At any rate good kill, and get some tires on that sucker so you don't spin.

All I know is that he has a car of some sort. Beyond that, can't figure it out.

Haha, your story reminds me of a stang I saw leaving work a few weeks ago. I saw this guy try to do a little fishtail around the bend on one of the small streets around my work. I was right behind him, and after seeing his womanly attempt, gave it some gas and whipped the whole *** end back and forth a couple times. Guess he saw in his mirror cause he slowed down, I pulled along side him and he asks me,
"Man wtf size engine is in those things? I got my *** kicked the other night by one of those."
I replied with "5.7 liter", and he says, "Damn no wonder, I just got this car, what's it take to make it fast?"
It was one of the older 94-98 models, I was tempted to say he needs nitrous or FI lol, but I was nice and said get some bolt-ons and gears.

So nice kill to you, and whoever kicked this guys butt too .

He was in second gear and dropped it down to first. Instead of easing off the clutch, he simply dumped it as to not wasted time.

Man. You've really got me thinking about getting rid of my Fords...

If you and I were to race and I just by chance was able to pull off a win (because you spun or missed a gear or ran out of gas) would you convert to Ford?

Actually Verve and Dynotune, it's just that it's hard to rev at the guy with the clutch engaged. I didn't drop to 1st, I was going too fast. I revved so he would definately know I wanted to race. Plus my car is loud so I waited till I heard him hit the gas. I lost some time spinning and it was kinda cocky but I didn't really expect him to win anyway(it's a punny 4.6). Besides, it's more fun to spin by the person your racing if you're able to...oh and Terminator, I would switch to fords...if they had ls1's in them....well, I'd drive them anyway.

Hopefully we can hook up sometime and you can spin by my puny 4.6 and convert me to GM.

oh really, my engine is stock with headers, it's just a lightweight car. That's all it takes to make a ls1 fast. We don't need power adders.

I'm a little lost myself. You dump the clutch in 2nd and spin by him, then you hook, and put another 5 cars on him before speed shifting to 3rd?

Yea, I was joking. I live in the Richmond, VA area. A little town called Mechanicsville.

Supercharger? You got no reason to be skeered. LS1s are strong. I have run several LS1s in various stages of modification. One kill was posted here...a little dig run with a member who has one of the best sounding and looking LSx cars i've seen. I don't want to come off cocky or anything, but my 92 LX would be a much better run if you are near stock (and serious).

I love street-legal fast cars. That's what turns me on...that and hot females.
