Default stock z28 vs mild bolt on 05-07 gt

got my first dig runs in with the new ride (2000 z28, chokemaster muffler and throttle body spacer only) i completely forgot the guys name, but he had a bolt on new model CS-GT, auto vs my m6, ran him from a dig twice, first run, spun my *** off, he yanked me pretty good out of the hole, and i wasnt able to suck him up in time, ended up with about 2 cars on me, second run, he gave me the hit, i ended up pulling him from a dig to about 90 when i had to get out of it to avoid a car in my lane, had about 1.5-2 lengths on him....was a good race from a dig with him being auto, would have prolly gotten nasty in my favor from a roll though....good runs bro!! btw, this was at the friday meet on the northside of h-town

3.31 gears? Dunno what year you have, but the 06 GT's come stock with 3.55's... I assume since you listed it under mods you mean not the stock gears, and 3.31's are pretty much an anti-power adder. What were your stock gears?

Good races guys.

You need to learn more about the car you own.

Auto: 3.31s
Man: 3.55s.

Good runs. It's nice to finally see we're all racing in peace and harmony for once.

Hope that didn't jinx the thread.

I didn't know that... I still don't know why he listed 3.31's as a mod though.

I'll get back to my Mustang research now that I've embarrassed myself .

Ive raced my fair share of gt's, all 5 speeds and they run good but all in all they are pony cars. You cant compare them to a true muscle car like the discontinued F-body. It is really impressive how those cars lack a leter and can run the way they do. On the other hand if you get in a fight with a termi you better be ready. Ive raced an 03 that said his best run was a 12.9 but i just dont think he knew how to drive because i had him by about 3 lenghts at 120. And if he did know how to drive those cars are over rated a bit. Unless you change the pulley and then they are screamers.
