I think your both smokin crack.......the fbod in question is an LT1...(unless I can't read or don't know a secret). So, 300 RWHP bone stock?..UM NOPE. I say 450 HP/475 TQ for the bird (guessing, OP didn't say). That is on par with the Viper.
The viper has a slight disadvantage with the weight.
I call TA from the dig by a few cars because of the stall and gears. From a roll, I say Viper because of the aero, and gears/stall (pending roll speed).

The reason I gave the Trans am with 480-500 rwhp only a car on a roll race is because the Trans Am is an auto...
A 500 rwhp auto Fbody will have it's hands full with a 450 rwhp Viper on the freeway..
Now that I know the cars an Lt1 it would be lucky to dyno 450 rwhp and get walked HARD by the Viper since it's an auto.....
CAPN Smokey you need to remember the stock SRT10 Vipers hAVE DYNOED UP TO 465 RWHP sae BONE STOCK...Even with H/C and every bolt on in the book it's not easy to get those numbers..And if you can hit 465 PLUS rwhp on a NA 346..Then there's still 500 rwt SAE that the SRT10 Vipers can produce

its funny when you guys say "espically since its an auto" a stalled automatic will bitch smack a M6 from dig race both having same mods. now a stick with prevail from a roll,hovever depending on the type of stall the auto has it wont get beat by much. Dont let the dyno numbers fool you on a A4. anyway i think the bird will win a dig race if it has a large stall, on the highway its pretty much going to get dragged(3-4 cars)

Hope I don't get flamed for this but here it goes. 93 LT1's seemed to have got an edge over the 94-97 LT1's because of the speed density system (check out speeddensity.org for some more info). My stock 93 LT1 would always beat other stock LT1's from other years (m6 or Auto). Plus LT1's are juice ******. They take the spray and ask for more like no other. From a dig I give it to the LT1 but from a roll Viper. (don't really know what the purpose of the first part of the post was except sharing some info)
