Which slicks to use on public/dusty roads? Can't match AWD cars launch

What do you think, will Hoosier 28 x 14.5 - 15 slicks fit?

No. About 11.5 is as wide as will fit; 28s need a bit of fenderwell tweaking. I can't see a 14.5 wide tire fitting without a tub.

Dude why don't you but a few push brooms, and get a few buddies to sweep the lane for you, use VHT, try to spread it out for a longer sticky patch (you'll have to do 2-3 burnouts) Then you should be set.

Its essentially a feedback control unit that looks at your wheel speed sensors and varies power accordingly via fuel cut -(don't worry its extremely smooth) when it sees tire slippage (you can adjust it allow certain percentages of tire slip so you don't bog). Basically a TRAC system that actually works. The only caveat is that I'm not sure how it would work on a nitrous'd car. I've seen FI RWD cars go well into the 10s on firestone SZ-50s (lol) with this system.
There are distributors in the US and they normally run ~1100 bucks.

Many people are not being very clear with answering your question, so I apologize for some of the bad answers you have received.
The M/T Et Street Radials are some of the best tires in the world. Change the tire pressure to see what works best. Some people like 15psi, other people like 20 psi. See what works best.
After that do a large burnout for about ten seconds. That should impress all of your friends and help with your launch.
You might want to buy some of that VHT. It will probably be very expensive but it will help with your launch. I would also try and clean of the track if you can. Bigger tires probably will not help, I think you just have to experiment with what you have, until you see what works best. Good luck, and send us more pictures!

OK, back to the point.
I'll try to do something with the track (VHT, cleaning, and so on). But that's one side of the problem, let's leave it alone now, I think it was discussed enough.
Now I'm more worried about my own car - how to maximize traction. I think big tires would help - I already posted picture from one of the events, where Chevy Malibu with really big slicks went about 7.0 in 1/8, so obviously they help to hook.
So now I wonder what's the biggest tire I could fit without modifying fender or modifying them just slightly.

Taller tires will jsut basically make you have worse gear ratios for drag racing....
wider tires will make you have more traction as rule if the two tire widths compared are the same type of tire...
I think 315s are the biggest you can fit, but I need an fbody guy to confirm this for me...
If you are looking to get more sidewall height(to allow more sidewall flex), its time to buy some dedicated drag racing wheels....15 inch is the ideal rim diameter

TA's with stock suspension on slicks can't launch?

I don't dump the clutch, this is not my first attempt in drag
I ride clutch so much during launches that on my Nissan it lasts only 5-7K miles
Suspension - it has:
-UMI Torque arm chassis mount with UMI Torque arm (don't know what it's for)
