Thanks a lot again James for running me. It was a fun run and we will have to do it again when you start modding your car. I will let the videos speak for themselves. The 2nd and 3rd Race iirc was a roll race. 2nd we went from 35-40. I gave him the hit in all 3 runs. I also raced an LT1 and will post the video of that in here also. Please leave comments. I raced the LT1 first then the cobalt. Also after the first run of the cobalt my check gauges light came on bc my new high output alternator took a crap so thats why i said with the check gauges light on in 3 lol.

No I am LS1 Owner. I ended up racing a 650 bike so I would lose that night lol. My friend owns the cobalt and he had our other friend riding with him and I had a friend riding with me.

Haha, I like the first video. The Cobalt driver has one of those moments where you realize you got the wrong car. "Damn, that LS1's fast."

Yeah, I had one of those just the other night.

Some kid with a new Cobalt SS was tearing up the parking lot late at night, as I was going to my car. I thought to myself, "heh, somebody's got a new toy... too bad I can tell it's just a light snack by the buzzy noises it makes."

I got on the road, not expecting to actually see the guy, but there he was buzzing down the street. He sees my car pass by his, slowly (I'm not really engaging, just going home) and he decides to speed up. I hear it buzz, then that lovely BOV whistle. I think, "Heh, well if he's got a turbo in there, I guess it's worth it." I downshift to 2nd @ 40mph and the car gets really loud really quickly. I burst past him and he tries to keep up, up until 75mph, when I decide I might want to shift out of 2nd.

When he catches up at the light, he rolls down his window and asks, "whatcha got in there?" I said, "it's stock" and smiled.

He stayed back and I decided to spend the next block "at the speed limit", but in 1st making VERY GNARLY NOISES.

Odd... I just looked up the Cobalt SS and it's supercharged, not turbocharged. Not sure what I heard, but I swear it sounded like a BOV.

Either way, I was happy to make him question his car purchase.

ls1wannabe aren't you lsjwannabe on the cobaltss.net forums were this was posted first? I will just say I have enough done.


SlayerMaro - He knew what he was getting into beforehand we have played before from 0-60 and 60-90 but never no quarter mile runs. Also I have let him drive my car before to. He didn't expect to win he just wanted to figure out what all he needed to do to keep up, which won't happen since its getting supercharged in December hopefully if everything goes as planned.

It does come supercharged from the factory, but I've seen videos of cobalts where the owner has put on a turbo instead. I've also heard of supercharged cars with a BOV (but don't really see a point in it).

John2005- Awesome, you're getting supercharged. I'd love to see some vids once that happens.
