Default 350Z kill

tonight me and my buddies were just cruising around and decide to make a stop at target, i was in my SS and he was in his civic(ricer, but respectable since its not riced out). as we're walking through the parking lot a guy in a 350Z revs at us and my buddy's like "wanna run'um"? the 350z's like "sure", but my buds says "nahh, maybe the SS will though". so i ask him were a good back-road is and he tells me to follow him since im not from the city we were in. i follow him through enough roads to be totally lost and we finally line up. we race from a dig and he jumped me by about 1/2 a car, but it wasn't long before i start to pull from him bad. when we stop he and his friend were amazed when i tell him all i have is a CAI because he said i spun through 3rd. lol. it was cool though because he actually let me follow him back to target since i had no clue where we were and unlike the mustang i beat a week ago, he made no excuses lol.

Yeah, sounds pretty much spot on to me. They wake up with gears/bolt-ons, but stock vs. stock an LS1 will pull one up top.

Nice kill.

350Z's are pretty much a joke though, even with full bolt ons they can barely hang with a stock LS1/M6.

i really expected him to be a lot faster, idk what he had besides rims. the exhaust tips looked stock but it sounded a little louder than what i thought it should have been, like he might have just swapped mufflers.

unless he was stroked or had FI, then he wouldn't be a lot faster. pre-07 350zs didn't really benefit all that much from bolt-ons, especially compared to how lsx engines benefit from bolt-ons.

but i wouldn't call them a joke.

The 07 306 hp Z's are a different story. My friend has a bone stock '07 6-speed 350Z and he has ran a best of 13.3 at 103 so far. That was in hot/humid weather. He's a great driver though. The new Z's are definitely stronger than the previous ones. Once they get a few bolt-ons for them they will surprise for sure.

Still stock for stock and mod for mod the LS1 F-bod is superior.

Not to him... no matter what the facts say, he'll never be anything more than an ignorant troll

Nice kill. From what I've heard, those things are fun to drive, but unfortunately my buddy sold his and bought an Evo before I got a chance to drive it. I DID get to drive the Evo, though, haha.

Some people get uppety whenever someone suggests an import might be a decent run for a domestic car.

Beware of some of those 350's. I raced one with my H/C 99. It was from a 45 roll, he go the jump b/c he took off first.. I dropped to 2nd and started to pull him in but it was very slow.. I shifted to 3rd at 70.. I probably would have passed him, but the ****** broke the tires loose and came into my lane. I believe he had to be turbocharged to keep me from dog shitting on him.. then maybe sprayed it when he saw me pulling in anyways then lost it.

btw, you have some serious traction problems, and it's not from too much power if you're stock. I'm running on stock tires atm, and with full bolt ons and H/C/I, 1st is useless, and 2nd will haze them all the way through if I want to, but 3rd is going to grab.. and I'm up 150rwhp on you easy.
