Default 00 WS6 vs. Mazdaspeed 3

Coming home from work last night I see something coming up fast. Its a new Mazdaspeed 3. He passes me so I return the favor and pass him moving pretty quick. I see that he is staying right on my ***. So I slow it down to about 50mph and he does the same. I drop to 2nd and give him the 3 beeps.
We both jump at the same time and I start pulling, but not as hard as I would expect. When I shift into 3rd he is about 1 1/2 cars back. I short shifted into 4th and shut it down. I had about 2 1/2 cars on him.
I knew those cars were decently quick but it did suprise me, he wasnt dropping back as quick as I would expect.

My mods - Lid
His mods - unknown

Cliff Notes: 50-100 mph, WS6 wins by 2 lengths

Turbo car from a roll was his advantage, but seems like he might have had a couple mods.

I like the 6's better.

I didn't say it was an advantage OVER the LS1, obviously I know about LS1's top end.

I just meant it was a turbo car(4cyl or not), M6(i think its M6), from a roll. That's where turbo cars like to play. Yes?

Please explain. Is there a site similar to this one about the Mazdaspeed 3? Thinking about making this the wifes next car.

It's a factory turbo car that runs pig rich. The car is begging to be leaned out to a proper A/F at the very least. I'm sure it could take some extra boost too.

It's a pretty light car, but I'm still surprised how well it kept up with the WS6. Probably the only things that would keep me from owning one is that it's basically a little wagon, and it's wrong-wheel drive.

i will try and find where i read about them before. basically the gist of it was the rest of the drivetrain wasnt suited for adding power, the drive by wire system made it a pain, and they are already boosted pretty high stock.

this was when they first came out, not sure if they have corrected this or not.

I'm shocked I had no idea they were that quick. I can't wait to put a couple bus lenghts on one.

Careful... a basic bolt-on/tuned car would give you a helluva run.

I have alot of freinds that have super fast imports, I have no issue with getting beat by one. The day a basic bolt on tuner beats me I'll let you know. What do you mean by basic bolt on tuner name your price. The only import that is a mild modded well tuned car that may stand a chance would be an all wheel drive car if we ran from a dig. Even then you put that car on a roll and he = lunch! I love all cars.

I'm pretty sure an EVO IX with intake/downpipe/exhaust and a tune would give you a good race... Mazdaspeed3 probably would too.

I love EVOs they are sweet but they well need a little more than that. I ran a ***** with 500 Hp last week lost one won two but the two I won he didn't find 3rd quick enough. When he did he got me but he would not run me from a dig. A modded EVO from a dig would absolutly be a good race. The power that they are getting out of a turbo 4cyl. these days is amazing I would love to own and play around with one. I don't think my car is even a very fast car to be honest. It is a quick street car and I have fun with it. There are so many realy fast cars out there all it takes is $$$$$$.

I just noticed that it did not show what kind if car i was running was a new neon turbo I guess the site will not take acronyms.

Do you still have 332rwhp? Cuz 332rwhp vs. a 500hp EVO would be kind of a raping if the guy can drive.

My guess is that I'm close to 400 rwhp which would put me at around 435-445fwhp.
