Default Cobra crashes while messing with me

i live near chicago, and right now the roads are very slick. I took my DD 2000 trans am out to go return a movie, and a white cobra comes up next to me at the light. revving and revving, and i roll down my window
"its way too slick out to race man, besides this is the slow one"
he laughs like a cocky ***** and says bullshit. egging me on by revving.
light turns green he guns it and spins, and goes side to side, catches some traction and rips through the light, shifted and the back end swung out horribly and he slammed his passenger door into a light pole at about thirty.

i got up to the car and made sure he was ok, called the police for him and everything, and waited til they got there. he was probably mid thirties, said his name was jim. white cobra, 03-04 and looked stock. i felt bad for him but i mean, how damn stupid could you be?
im 18, shouldnt i be the dumb *** that wrecked my car messing with someone, instead of using the proper judgement?
just thought i would share

That is straight up stupid in the chicagoland area for this time of year.
And he was probably confused as to why his DR's weren't hooking, even though the pavement was a whopping 30 degrees.

i hate to see any car get wrecked, its a shame. im just glad he was ok i guess. just the fact that he had illinois plates, probably not his first winter...just seems like common sense.

Hey I think I see you drive around Orland Park, Im from Orland when I am not in school or on the weekends when I come home from the city. I go to college at UIC, so I am usually home alot. I have a 93 z28, burgundy, now it has stock rims with winter tires. I have to say there are alot of stupid people who live by there who will be total idiots. I had a honda civic with nothing done to it try and race me down lagrange road in the rain, he almost plowed into the back of a truck..

People (including myself) are always saying "good death", "respectable death", etc, and I always wondered what an example of a "bad death", or "non-respectable death" would be.

Now I know.

i was involved in a bad accident, away from my house when no one i knew was able to be there for me. i was badly injured due to brake failure, and some woman ive never met (the driver of the car in front of the one i hit, with only a dent) helped me into the ambulance and even rode with me. it was appreciated greatly.
after you've been through it, and know what its like, it wasnt even an option to make sure he was ok and due what little i could.

I almost wrecked my car the exact same way many years ago when I first had it. Got stupid on a wet road and thought I would be billy bad *** by power shifting into second while first was still spinning all to hell. Wound up doing a 360 and a half and putting it into the gravel on the side of the road. Thank god I never wrecked it and I never got stupid with it again, ever.

That is something you make the mistake of doing just once and only once.

we have all pushed the limits of adhesion, but this guy went to far.
you got lucky on your experience, and glad to hear you wont do that again. its not worth it.
