So a few of us are getting of the interstate to go back to my friends house after eating. Well one frined of mine has a white 2000 mustang GT and hes behind me the whole time. I hear a 4.6 revving behind me and next thing I know I see a white mustang coming fast in my side mirror so I punch and then I relize its a Cobra as his supercharger is whining as he passes me. So we play for a second and then catch a red light. We both turn on that street and he slows donw to a 25mph roll(my favorite spot) so we both punch it and I jump him(i'm auto,IDK how) by half a car, he shifts then pulls me half a car, then my auto shifts and I pull back ahead by maybe a fender and he hits the brakes. He said he always pulls LS1's all the time and I was the first LS1 to beat him. He didn't say anything about mis shifting or his car is bad or anything, he said it was a good run and ask me what I had done(mod in sig), I replied and said it was a good race again and then we noth went on our way.

Best thing is that I had my friend with the '00 GT behind us and he saw the whole thing and he was amazed, so was I though.

I promise, I'm gonna get a video camera mounted in my car some how.

I raced one of them in my 02 Z06 one time and I was suprised how fast I passed him..We went from 70 to over 100. I heard him going WOT but I felt like I passed him too fast. So I started thinking (he was a vert, maybe he short shifted and had lots of gas) I don't know...but it was THE car that I wanted to race since I got my Z06. I LOVE the 03 and 04 cobras.

Yeah we did a 25mph to the 85-100mph range. He had to have an intake for s/c to be that loud and atleast a cat-back because he was loud but not as loud as full exhaust for the 4.6. This one was a hard top and actully I had just filled up on 89oct gas because I wasn't planning on racing until next week when I get my exhaust done, lol.

But get ready for some fireworks in this thread when the Cobra guys see it. Anything can happen on the street, ect, ect. But the fact is that bone stock 03/04 Cobras trap considerably higher then 106. 110-112 if I am not mistaken. So there had to either be some driving error on his part or his car is not running up to par.

But again, anything can happen on the street so good kill

A BONE STOCK COBRA runs faster than your posted time, so what I said is true.

He was BONE STOCK, and a shitty driver..

a kill none the less I guess...but like unit said, be careful as I doubt the outcome will be the same again.

LOL Ive seen just as many 13.5 + @ around 105 mph runs as I have seen low 13 runs out of stock Cobras at the track. May have been shitty drivers but when you race you race both the car and the driver.
