I like the fact the there are mustang guys on here. Beats having ricer import guys on here. Before you say it, yes i know there are a few cool *** import guys on here with FAST *** cars. They are all here because the LSX community has the best competition for them, plain and simple.

There are way more guys on here in almost every state that are faster than 12secs running around. That beats the hell out of any mustang, civic, evo, sti, vr4, etc. sites. In addition to that the majority of the guys on here are not full of ****, because they know they will get called out and if they try.

Point being, the best source of competition brings the best challengers (or their followers )

It will take more hp in a cobra to win a vette because of the weight differences...anyone have exact specs of the weight of both vehicles?

Don't know why everyone can't just get over the fact that a smaller disp OHC and a larger disp OHV motor respond differently to different mods. An LSx motor responds as well to a good cam as an OHC motor responds to forced induction. It's just reality. Many of us mod motor Mustang guys go forced induction cuz that's what works best (not to say there aren't some killer NA mod motor Stangs out there.....cuz there are some pretty scary ones). Most of you LS guys go with a cam setup cuz its cheaper and it gets the job done......makes the most sense to me. If my GT could have made similar numbers to what it does now with just a swap of cams, and for less money, I'd have done it.

Either way, more cams or not, our 4.6's are still behind the curve in the displacement area.....so turbo's and s/c's just remain a fact of life. I don't have a problem with it. I chose a car that I liked and loved driving....and I did what was necessary to make its performance what I felt it should be. Sure, I could have spent alot less by buying a 98 Z28 and doing a H/C/I setup....but that's not the car I wanted. I imagine it's the same for anyone who buys something that's not LSX powered. Sometimes its more about the car than the powerplant.

Ok........touchy-feely insight highjack done.

Are there really people on LS1 tech nug swinging riced out hondas, and not wanting to hate on them? Or am I readong some of this stuff wrong on this site.

A year ago I would of yelled GM power, now I personaly don't give a ****, as long as riced out imports can be taken off our streets and beat out of the drag strip. To be honest if all the riced out imports would leave I would buy a mustang. I will always love the american thing more though, say GM died, i'd go to ford, or mopar if they could get there **** together, and make a muscle car.
