Considering the *****'s are mid 14 second cars when stock, your Neon must have been modded.
So that kind of throws that comment out the window.

Ya see Brian06Eleanor what you were witnessing are "normal" driver's on a "normal" track, you just didn't know about all the l33t driver's out there that run amazing times on stock cars In all honesty a stock LT1 isn't a "murder" on a stock 2v, but it ain't pretty if both driver's are equal-prolly 4 cars.

my experience with mustangs vs lt1s, is stock for stock the firebird is about 1-2 cars ahead from 1st-4th gear....and full bolt on for full bolt on the firebird is about 3 cars ahead, just because the firebird does respond somewhat better to mods than a mustang

Ok... when somebody says, "____ is a ____ second car in general," they aren't saying what any given driver is capable of. They are saying what the CAR is capable of. You're gonna run into shitty drivers and Michael Schumachers on the road, so you can't base your assessment of a car's capabilities on what you see Joe Schmoe run at the track. I've never seen an '03-'04 Cobra run better than 13.0 at the track, but I haven't seen very many. And I KNOW that they are mid 12s cars. Just like I KNOW that in the right conditions LT1 F-bodies/Corvettes, *****s, 350Z 6spds, and 99-04 GT 5spds are all 13s cars. Since you never know what kind of driver you're gonna run into, I go with what the CAR can do when making comparisons... not what "the average driver" is gonna run. Cuz "the average driver" sucks ***

i just dont believe a bonestock 2v GT will get into the 13s with at least drag radials. but i agree about the avg driver stuff.

Whether you believe it or not is inconsequential... MANY people have done it.

Yeah, I dealt with this alot back when I had my old Integra ('94 GS-R coupe). I knew that any sort of decent driver would be able to run low 15s, so that's pretty much what I expected when I went to the track, even though I had people telling me how they see them all the time running mid-high 15s and even in the 16s. So needless to say some people were very shocked when I pulled a 14.97 my first pass

Excuse me...with a WS6 or SS lt1 (which he seems to have) and a good driver, you would have murdered a gt...mine is gutted with an ls1, so of course I don't have a problem with them.

It's not like a WS6/SS is appreciably faster than a similar Trans Am/Z28... it still wouldn't be "murder." Good driver vs. good driver he might end up damn near right next to you
