I actually only paid $4200 for my basically immaculate LT1. And my mods would probably make up that hp difference. lol

Which is a great deal (nice new car, btw), but you still can't compare it to buying a new car. Your car is 14-15 years old, no matter how you slice it. And alot of people just don't want a car that old.

I know. If anyone had the choice of the two, at the same price, you know which one they'd obviously take. I'm not even a Mustang guy and I'd still take the new GT. And thanks for the compliment, it sure beats the pants off the old 2000 Cavy Z24 I had. lol

Yeah. To tell the truth I'd take a similarly-modded '97 WS6 over my car, IF I could find one in the same condition my car was in when I bought it. And considering the '97 WS6s are now 11/12 years old, that's getting harder and harder to find. I just didn't want my DD to be a 100k+ mile F-body, when I easily drive 25k miles a year myself

Who cares....cubic inch vs cubic inch the mod motor would run circles around the GM motor. How many times has this been said? No better yet, how many idiots like yourself has cried what you cry?

Cool! Maybe we can get a run in. I have ZERO seat time in my new setup so I would probably be a cake walk for you

actually CI for CI ford doesnt win. do u know what would happen if chevy did a similar motor the the....LT5. im sure all u guys rememer that one, and thats now 15 year old technology and it was like 405hp N/A, and with todays technology prolly more like 450+, ford could never do that...

Yep and it was also 350 cubes or close to it (3.90 in. x 3.66 in. and 11:1). I guarantee if ford would have made a 351ci mod motor that it would make 400 or more. The Mach1's are what around 315ish at the crank? Add 70 cubes and bump the comp a point to match the LT5's and I'm sure it'd make the same power. -Mark
