pwned 3000gt
I know I know it's not fair but it COULD have been......maybe. Punk asked for it by weaving in and out of traffic to catch me. I noticed him like two lights before he caught me but he was working very hard to get up to me. Car was red with black stripes. He got beside me and was looking over wanting me to run but I'm not really game cause the roads are damp and there is traffic but if he waits long enough there is a straight ahead about 1/2 a mile up i'll run him there. He is impatient and passes me and then proceeds to ride the person's *** in front of him. My lane is faster moving and I pass him back and the cars in front of me get in the right lane. 3000 gets in behind me and RIDES MY ***......bad. So I'm kinda pissed. After we pass all traffic he guns it (can hear it) and tries to pass me when switching lanes (ricer flyby). I'm at 60 I punch it, spin a little on the downshift, immediately stop his run and put buses on him. I shut down at 90. After the pwnage he is no longer interested and is going very slow. I get in the right lane in fact and slow to the speed limit to see if he will still drive like a retard (nobody goes that slow on this road) and he sits back and won't come anywhere near me. Guess he had humble pie for breakfast.

Moral of story.............Don't skip over the fluff and not read the whole story.
Not to mention we had snow last week and the roads aren't too clean yet anyway.

Nice! I hate aggressive drivers. I remember this guy in a 3000GT SL (stands for slow ) who cut me off among other people/violations. I usually dont do anything on the street, but I buslengthed this guy a little later up the road with my near-stock DSM. Its really pretty sad how slow the NT ones are an how fast their owners think they are. All the riced out ones are NTs. The clean well maintaned ones seem to be VR4s usually. Ironic.

if it's a non VR4 i don't think they're anywhere close to 14s. especially the SOHC. my buddy has a DOHC Stealth and it doesn't feel any faster than my DD Grand Prix.

A friend of mine had a base SL model, and the best he could muster in the 1/4 was high 16's. Not fast at all, and he was really bummed when I lined up next to him at the track and walked away from him right off the line. He now has a '05 Vette vert, and is quite happy with it.

Okay lets clear up some facts here, BASE or SL not both. Base is a sohc 6G72 with around 170 bhp. The SL comes with a DOHC 6G72 good for around 220 bhp.
The VR4 is a twin turbo DOHC that is somewhat underrated, but figure around 300 at the crank. The non turbo fwd models are extremely slow and heavy, especially the SL with all the goodies of the VR4 but not the power and AWD. This is not the same as the stealths because it was possible to get the lightest weight base model ES with the DOHC motor so it wasn't quite as bad. Regardless, all of the fwd non turbo cars would be lucky to duck into high 15s especially since most are poorly maintained any more. I have owned 6 of these cars and it is one of my favorites, my last one was a 92 VR4 that consistently ran mid 12s with the stock turbos and nothing major done to it.
