Default Killed by WRX??!?!
I raced a good friend yesterday from 60-130 rolls twice, and both times he stayed dead even with me till about 110-115 then started to pull... WTF!!! every time before that ive raced him ive left him buslengths within the first few seconds.... doesnt make sense. mods are

1999 z28 a4, stripped (about 3150lbs), dumped exhaust, chipped, lid

2006 WRX sedan, turbo back exhaust, slammed on teins, and tuned

Do you know for a fact all of his mods? Sounds like he has gotten a boost controller and upped the boost on ya.

yeah thats what i thought... i know he has a 3 stage map he said he was running stage 1 but who knows

Well if before you yanked him real good... and now its starting to walk you... I'd say he's done some pretty good mods to it.

lol dont be mean. To the OP-what do u mean by chip? did you actually buy that bs chip that messes with the thermostat reading? Good death, looks like he raised his boost.

He's upped his boost prbly around 19psi or so, on stock turbo thats pretty impressive to pull you up top even if he is running stage III map. Can't underestimate WRX's they can make decent power if the right person gets hold of em. Nice death.

That's not exactly our best power band though... If it were up around 70 I'd figure it'd be worse...
Try him at about a 30 and see what happens..

Exactly. If you stayed even with him up to 110 then he shouldn't have started pulling on you. WRX weigh less so they don't have to make as much power to accelerate as hard but when aero starts playing a factor then the power is going to allow you to pull on top. Not to mention the f-body's are more aero-dynamic. Do you see where this is going? The only way he should have started pulling on you at 110 is if he sprayed it.
