One other things here is... Lots of kids locally here buy well supported and built DSM's then run them and take all the credit for the cars success. So that being said the kid might have hacked up a setup, but there's a chance the car was modded correctly by the previous owner. DSM's get whored from one owner to the next simply because of reliability issues.

haha, sorry guys, he's been bouncing back and forth between springfield and here gettin ready to leave for the military...I am going to let this thread die until the race happens...just wait for the results, i'll post them up...I am going to try and get a video too, but its probably going to be with a shitty *** camera phone...better than nothin...

i've been tryig to do it the past two nights, one or the other isn't around...the weather here is better now its 47 degrees, so hopefully i can get something pulled off before this weekend and the damn rain comes...

DSM's are lighter than f-bodies but they aren't light weights by any means. You are cracking me up with this racing for money business. Be careful with DSM's because the can be done right and made fast.

Ok, so this early 20s toolbag was full of **** and tried to hustle hardcore. Car was a 1990 black and silver 1g talon. 1. He refused to pop the hood. The latch was "broken." 2. Claimed it was FWD and his buddies backed him up...BS...car said ALL WHEEL DRIVE on both side panels (said they were just replaced panels) BS again. My buddy got a flashlight, went under the car and saw the rear differential. 3. car had BFG drag radials all around. Car was also cammed, you could hear the loping at idle. Massive FMIC. On to the race...only 20 bucks...
Went out to the spot, I followed, as did another black trans am and an orange Mazda. They lined it up a quarter mile from the light, first one to the light wins. Race was set up so my buddy would get the hit after the guy finally admitted to having AWD. They start, the C5 spins, Talon launches softly. C5 pulls out about 3 cars through first. Talon hits second, cloud of black smoke and it chirped all 4 wheels. By the end of the race, the C5 won by 1-1.5 cars, however, the Talon was still pulling.
Mods to the C5. Intake, 3.73 gears, unknown catback, and short throw shifter. It has clogged cats, haha, Bassani ORX in the mail. The C5 also had a female blonde passenger, weighed maybe 100lbs. She had a camera; however after the race, she told us she didn't film it.
My buddy concedes that despite winninghe feels that this was a hustlers race and that the kid let him win. The kid wanted to race again for double, but by that point, cops were out. The kid claims he launches like that all the time...All in all, this night was SHADY as ****. 86MonteSS, post up man...<----vette owner
