I think it is easy to make assumptions about whaty has and has not happened no doubt that the new gt-r is an amazing car but it was also modified when they ran it on the ring. and when they compared it to the z06 the guy driving the z06 said he did not know how to drive it. but the gt-r driver was a "ringer" from japan that knew that car very well. It is easy to hype and market things with false statements. Look at the chips on ebay that gain 40 hp on any car. There is no real way to know untill they become more common and we can get a good shootout by several magazines and get some verified times from regular people.

When it is all said and done it may be fast. But to be honest I would NEVER own one because of the queers that swing from its nutts. I.E. Ricers. I just couldn't see pulling up to the local spot and having those *** bags gathering around. It fills its niche for the F&F crowd as the ZO6 does for the American car lovers.

and once again I brought up Buttonwillow because it was not running R compunds.. it was on all season tires... I was just trying to point out that it did well.....

on that list of cars the GTR would be my last choice....

I am quite happy with my "P.O.S" thanks.... clearly I am an import fan boi...

I respect imports and domestics.... I hate ricers....
I thought during that comparison all of the cars were driven by the test driver from Nissan who admitted in the article he wasn't used to the Corvette and the Porsche and thought that may have skewed their times because he was so intimate with the GT-R.

I am still on the fence since every comparison has been heavily weighted in the GT-R's favor for conditions; R-Compound tires, or driver familiarization...

GT-R should be ackowledged for what it is though, a worthy car that will help drive the performance of our cars in the future to a whole new level (barring the gas mileage restrictions).

We should encourage the competition since we will eventually benefit from the "arms" race!

The GT-R will get walked by the Z-06 from a roll and I'll bet C&D runs a production version SLOWER than a Z-06.

he is in our crew along with 3 srt8 jeeps and an srt8 300c... i know what they can do.. he has never beaten me... even in the reviews where the gto went heads up with the srt-8 the gto beat it in straight line performance... they are nice but over rated. i myself love the jeeps... and hope to get one soon

SO he chopped off .7 with a 125 shot, bolt ons and slicks? LOL, if you believe thats the best that car was capable of, you have some issues.

nah it has more in it... that was like our 5th run... its a pain in the tuning area... the car kept shutting down during the burn out... just a matter of time... i am sure it can run around an 11.8.. it trapped 113mph...

the thing is i ran that on bolt ons.... not saying the charger is slow but its not very impressive. hes like my best friend... i help him when i can and its strong, smooth and handles like a dream...

Yeah, but using that as a basis to discredit the car is childish... it's a car built for circuit racing. Who cares if it loses to a Z06 from a 60 punch?

This is true. I like racing any way I can get it. It is hard to go some where and do it from a dig.

Do you guys live in high elevation or what? I've seen them trap 110+ on our shitty *** track, STOCK. Sounds like his car has some issues.

no... it does have issues. like i said the computer is really picky.. even in my friends srt8 jeep if he gets a good launch the ecu shuts it down... this happened on pinks lol... when the pinks episode from san antonio comes out on tv we should be on it... we had a red charger and black jeep running. they got him on video almost hitting the wall.. he launched hard and the jeep swayed towards the wall... sucks... multiple issues with them... from a roll the charger is a little beast but not as fast as people made them seem...

the jeep ran 12.0 best pass on a 125 shot with cai, tune, and t stat only... consistent 1.7-1.6 60fts' on street tires

Already proven it can beat it from a dig with decent launch. 11.8s suck for a Z-06. Go do some research.

The 3900lb GT-R with every driver aid imaginable is built for circuit racing? LMAO!
