fact is the s2000 may possibly beat an a4 if the s2000 launches at 7500, but once you start modding them you just wont get that much out of modding that 4 banger compared to a v8.
s2000 < ls1

Very good point. I could not tell THAT Much differance in the handeling of the S2000 and the Exige. But that could be because I am not the best driver. I mean..the Exige can take turns faster..but the stock tires are too narrow and the back is so light...your *** could bounce off the road on some of the roads here in NC.
I know what you mean by the bumpy NC roads. In the city, it's bad because of all the traffic and potholes. In the country, it's bad because...well, it's the country! What part of NC do you live in?

High Rpm's make it seem like your going faster than you really are. Like I said before 99% of s2000 will run a low to mid 14, high 13 if you want to dump the clutch at 8k....I dont see everyone using those launch methods.

Torque makes you FEEL like you are faster then you are too.
But I am with you..nobody dumps the clutch at 8k RPM unless they want a new one.
The S2000 is harder to be fast...its like they say. You gotta drive it like you stole it.

Yep... that's why I'm not gonna think about taking my car to the track until I get a new clutch

I was going to sell my Mustang anyway and get a Wrangler till I finished with school. In the middle of me looking, my mom (previous owner of said S2000) asked how much I think I could get for my car. I told her around $10k, and she said, "Well how about I give you my car, and take your's to get back the downpayment on a new car I just decided to get?" So of course I said yes, mom got an '01 Vette Z51/6spd, and the Mustang is for sale

Never have I seen a stock(even a bolt on) ap1 or ap2 break the 13s. They are mid 14s cars, low with a good driver. I have raced many of them and without internal mods, forced induction or spray, they are in the 14s. S2000s are still awesome cars. On a side note i have never seen a stock ls1 run 12s.

I like S2000's but they need more power. But when you do that then you have to worry about breaking the diff. Then it costs so much to get power out of them it really not worth it. I think S2000's are better suited for women or old people that just want to get out and cruise.

Compared to LS1s, sure... nobody has said anything different.
On what? Whether or not a bolt-on S2000 has a snowball's chance in hell against even a stock LS1? That's been answered a few times by EVERYONE in this thread.
So the only way to enjoy driving a car is to go as fast in a straightline as possible? There are people that live by some delicious backroads that like to carve up the twisties every once in a while

Some of us do but I prefer a BMW for that. I love my F-Body but a BMW is a more balanced car for carving up the twistys. The torque of the BMW sucks for straight line stuff but when the road turns twisty the bimmer really shines. I have owned several of both cars for those that would like to challenge my knowledge of the subject. A Vette is close but not quite there. I have to admit I don't have a lot of road time in the C6 but the ones I have driven are still just not quite there.
