Default Raced my friends 07 Tundra.....

Ok, so last night after work. My friend wanted to race against me. I figured what the hell, a nice good clean race with a buddy ya know. Let's have some fun.....He's pretty much got the same mod's as me, intake & exhaust system. Other then that, were pretty much both stock.

So we did 2 runs, both from a dig.

1st Run, we took off and he pulled ahead quickly, i spun a bit. I quickly caught up and passed by him. Surprised the hell out of me, how quick he jumped ahead though. So we stopped and decided, let's go for anotha run.

2nd Run, now this 1 was fun. We took off again, and he quickly jumped ahead. I spun some, not badly though. I played catch up 1 more time, however this time. I got right next to him, and we stayed there for a damn good while. Neck & neck, at that moment, i let off the gas real quick and stepped on it again to get somewhat of a power kick ya know. I finally start pulling on him, slowly and i would say at around 90mph is where i truely started pullling away.

All in all, good clean fun and had 1 of the best race's ive had so far. Now that's a pretty damn fast truck, i can only imagine how much quicker it will be when he put's some Header's on it.

That's what I always do when I'm neck and neck with somebody. Its kinda like hitting the nitro boosters ya know.

That's gotta be one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. Lay off the crack.

Nice runs, i have no problem believing the Tundra would pull like that out of the hole. Their pretty stout trucks.

I raced one of those not too long ago and it wasn't pretty for him. I am completely stock other than pilot sports on my car. I am also an a4 3.23 geared car. Maybe something is wrong with your car, or you need to practice driving. This should not be that close of a race. Well anything can happen on the street I guess.

I don't understand how a truck with no weight in the back can take you off the line? They are quick for a truck, but even a stock 2.73 A4 shouldn't have a problem with that truck...

Good job beating a high 14 second truck
Maybe it won't be so close next time if you spend less time "power kicking"

Lol high 14 second truck, i have seen tundras with just exhaust run high 13s. And the reason they would take him off the line is over 400ftlbs of trq and they are a truck and come with 4.11 rear end gears. If you go to tundra forums there are tons of people running 14.1s 14.2s in stock tundras

The guys running the fastest in Tundras are running about what a 99-04 Mustang GT automatic would run... and an LS1 F-body should have no problem absolutely walking away from that.

true. actually ive seen them run as good as 14.1 stock. not slow trucks at all. that being said. a stock LS1 should have no problem...but only if you let out of it in the middle of the race LOL

Yeah only problem is i have seen some f-bodys have trouble beating a 13.8 at the track, and a tundra can run that with some bolt ons.
