Default Old Tech LT1 vs 300 SRT8

This is not a SRT bash so lets not make it one....I would love to have one of these as a DD.

So, I'm coming back from picking my car up, just minding my own business. I turn on to 2, and I just happen to glance in my side mirror, and low and behold there is a silver 300 SRT coming up next to me. Next thing I noticed is the nose was coming up and a could hear the sweet sound of WOT. It's a woman driving, and I guess she saw me and was going to do a ricer fly by to show me how fast she could go when I'm just cruising in the right lane. I could not handle it and floored my old tech. In a flash of a second I matched her pull, and then pulled away (while spinning and leaving big black stripes). I then pulled in front of her (on the floor still) to avoid the very slow person in the right lane. After another second or so, and many car lenghts ahead, I let off to avoid traffic in front of me. I look back and she is still on the floor trying to catch up....I played nice and got over to the right lane to kind of give her the thumbs up and instead got the straight ahead stare, like I was not even there (that's also when I noted the SRT8 emblem on the trunk)...... I'm sure she was thinking "how did I get the smack down laid on me in my fast expensive car," to that old tech pink car (actually teal) with a obvious fake roll bar. The straight-ahead stare thing was funny....Here's to you Miss non thumbs up
All testing here happened in Mexico...they have the best races...!

Good kill!!! But yeah when people with more expensive cars get beat. They have a tendency to not look at you. But I will have to say all the SRT8 cars (i.e. charger, 300, and magnum.) are sweet looking/sounding vehicles.

My siggie is for the LT1 guys on this site (a running joke). It's not right, it is kind of funny if you really look at it. Had one guy tell me I could not even have a car with that siggie...

I have a video from a few days back.
First time out in way over a year. Ran a 1.535 60 foot on this run..Same thing SRT lady ran into....Stealth old tech...I was able to get it down to basically 11.3's after some tuning (changed shift points ect.) helped get the trap speed up higher and run faster that night. 3820 lbs. race weight, with both 17's in the air for a second. I figure with some big and skinnies I should be at 11.1 in this air, this time of year. A few years back a friend drove it on some borrowed skinnies up front and pulled a foot of air under them I'm told by bystanders. The other car in the video is a stroker LT1 383 with heads/cam headers ect. Don't have any idea why it's so slow for it's mods...Felt kinda bad for the guy though....That's a lot of money and time spent to get whacked so bad your first time out..

My favorite is "ORY to Magnaflow Cats" kind of under the radar!

Yeah, I got it back to 118mph after some tranny tweaking and cool down. The only way I'm going to see 120+ is with cold weather or drag tires at all 4 corners (maybe this friday). It does hook very well on the street with th Et radials set at 20psi. I had them up to 32 for the drive home (Mexico is a long drive) and that's why it laid down black stripes instead of a total hook. I here they're very dark stripes though It has run a best "cold day" of 123MPH spinning....The more it hooks the slower the MPH...
