5.0 Puts up a great fight I was cruising down 287 again with my friend in the 4.6...
Earlier, we lined up with a white Type-R integra, but eh didn't wanna go. What is it with INtegra drivers and not racing?
Later on, this we both line up with this black Fox-body LX 5.0 hatch, LOUD as hell, obviously a big cam and probably heads. sounded SWEET. The guy wouldn't bite when my friend's stock 4.6 was getting at him, but as soon as I pulled along side him, he PUNCHED it, hard. It was most definitely a manual. It surprised me, and I downshifted manually from OD to D (haha, the gay automatic way) and punched it. Took a while for me to catch him, we punched from about 80 and I didn't catch up til 120, but eventually the boost did it's job and I blew by him. I asked my friend Tom if he was ripping it (we both left him behind, lol), and he said he definitely was, and eventually he gave up and Tom saw his brake lights. Awesome race, probably my best yet.
I stand by my decision that Fox bodies are my favorite stangs.. this guy flat out MOVED, it's too bad we didn't get to talk to him, I woulda liked to know what he had done
later on, in the dunkin donuts parking lot, a couple of kids pulled in with a green Supra and a red VR-4
Some ****** nice imports there, they gave me props on my car, and I gave them props on theirs, but nobody brought up racing. The supra kid said he runs 12.6 consistantly, and has run 12.2 before Supras are SO NICE. The VR-4 kid din't sya much. They're around a lot, though, I figure I'll challenge them once I get my aftercooler done. I'll keep you guys posted

definitely keep us posted on the two other cars
The kid with the supra I see every week at a car show we have around here. He's won a lot of awards, I'm looking to take some from him the next few shows
Nice cars around here are few and far between. Wish me luck!

I always worry about foxes because at a minimum the car has been around for a decade and has been modded a lot.
