I meant ~3400 without me in it.

Much more believable. Still though, thats quite a drop from the ballpark weight of 3665lbs. You must put it on a little bit more of a diet than mentioned.

Like I said earlier the SRA swap drops roughly 150lbs. I may be a little off on the 3400 estimate. I'd like to be under or right at 3450 w/o me in it.

Thats a very respectable weight for a 03/04. I'm sure it would accelerate much more quickly with that much baggage gone. Now, if you could just drop some weight from the front end....

Which would be taken care of by a new K-member and a couple other things

One or 2 minor bolt ons= 500 whp on a C6Z. That would of been neck and neck.

Sounds like an awsome mach. You gonna go with a hellion hell raiser kit to compliment the whipple? You'd be forming black holes with the hp/tq.

I don't think LS1Tech would've gotten this far without your 0.35 posts per
day of cutting edge technical LSx information. Thanks for being such an

I will qualify that with an example. Not exactly apples to apples but here it goes.

Friend of mine with a c6z that puts down ~535 ran a blown Viper that makes ~670 if I remember correctly. Put 2 cars on him on the punch and held it through the top of 4th.

My point was don't have to wait for boost to build and anytime you add FI you add weight. Just one example, but most of the time, Hp for Hp, NA cars are a little faster. Just from what I have seen, but I have far from seen it all.

He does'nt have a Cobra, one of his ealier post's says he had a mach1 with a whipple. Mach1's already have solid axles & an alum. block that's about 250#'s right there, with a few other odds & ends like the control arm's/K-member that Unit mentioned it's not real hard to drop weight quick.

Maybe you should read all the posts a little more carefully. The post you quoted wasn't directed at the OP. He was talking to "SARGE 13" who in fact, DOES have a cobra with a SRA swap.

depends on what you are running for fi. a roots or twin screw blower makes instant boost = no lag or waiting for boost. i can see how a ported eaton cobra would take out a c6zo6.

doesnt take boost any time at all to build w/ a properly built combo, especially positive displacement blowers

there are also other factors like cost and drivability. drivability on high hp n/a motors plummets as power goes up. gotta include the bottle also, light and cheap way to make power.

n/a is cool but on the street its run what you brung and i'll take full advantage, doesnt matter if its got 10 turbos 2 superchargers and a bottle, fast is fast and ETs dont include mods
