He punched it and I punched it from about 80mph. I was in 4th and just tagged the pedal and starting pulling. By 150mph, I had about 3 cars on him and he shut down.
It's the second run I've had with a C6 Z06 and both times were similar outcomes. Gave the guy a thumbs up when we slowed down and he went passed me, but he didnt look over. I guess he wasn't particularly happy about what had just happened.

Was a fun little roll-race...

Is there any weight reductions done to the MACH?

Tony you and I are going to have to run one of these days. I'll have my turbo project finished in a couple of months. The only thing you have that I don't is the stroker motor. I also have ported heads, big cams, and a 76mm Turbonetics turbo vs. your whipple. I think it might be a good run.

And the powdered rods are the weaker link. Never understood what Ford was thinking with the Mach...

However I love what you've done with it

Simple..it's call bean counting. Had to stay on budget. THey couldn't put a charger on it because the Cobra had that. They wanted the cobra to be 'top dog' and not have something compete with it, especially under their own roof. So, what would be the point in installing forged internals on an N/A car. Not very budget smart as far as they are concerned. They had all the things they needed already on the shelf. Why add more cost to it? That's what a Mach 1 was cheaper than a Convertible GT.

I would have liked to see a 5.4 N/A monster put in that thing. The FI in the cobra, and the CI in the mach.

Just had my hopes up when they said it would be 4V. Forged crank and powdered rods?? That's like a slap in the face. Ah well, glad I waited.

Forged crank in the 5 spd only

I love it though really. it's a great platform and looks good.

how many times have you heard of an auto manf doing something (detail wise) for the common person? they dont'. they may make a car because of demand, but they make it to their own specs.

one thing to look at though, the mach is the quickest Production N/A mustang yet.

Why don't you ask the guys who designed the 4.0 block in the new sixxers?

Apparently so does the driver. So are you T2 prepped on street tires? A well driven, bone-stock C6Z on street tires will post a faster time than any T2 car.

Huh?...what new sixer has a Forged setup?

I know there is 'talk' about a TT Sixer coming out, but it's not confirmed. Darn it, what have I missed?

I totally believe it. Of course a car with 800 horsepower is going to pull on one that dynos around 450 rwhp. I'm just not overly impressed by it, if you had absolutely smoked the c6 "5+ car lengths" then I might be. good kill none the less

How is pulling 3 lengths on a C6Z at highway speeds weighing 3-400 more pounds NOT impressive?

Who said he had 800 HP? you're assuming. Let me give you a hint........25 psi on a whippled mach is roughly 725rwhp. The OP has 19.5psi.
