First Race: Went from a 25 mph roll and he got the jump and I ended up winning by a fender.
Second Race: Went from a dig and won by a little more then half a car.


Story:
Well I went on a cruise up the hills to vista point. When I get out of my car a guy comes up to me "that’s a nice car man, what done to it?" "I say pretty much stock with borla exhaust n lid." He asks if I would like to race? I respond by saying against what? he replies a 2000 Audi S4. Of course I get the details on what’s all done to it, he kind of forgot to tell me it wasn't stock. So I get in my car and he suggest we go from a roll. I ask a 30 mph roll? but he would rather go 25 mph so we get lined up from 25 mph and he has his friend as a flagger ahead and I missed the drop. The Audi got the jump and as I shifted to 2 were pretty even. Had a fender on him.

Then we decided to go from a launch. There was a little slope so my car rolled forward and we launched. He got the jump because I couldn't hear his horn. He pulled instantly and I didn't even bother. Let him take it.

Then we turned around and headed to the starting line. I said lets move back some more to where its more flat and this time ill do the 3 honks. I had it revved at 3000 rpm and honked it off. We both launched at the same time and he was a fender on me as I was spinning. But as I was shifting into 2 and got traction I began to pull on him and let off because a turn was coming up. Had a little more then half car. If it was more of a straight away I would of just kept pulling on him im sure.. We turned around and pulled back onto the side of the street.

We said good races n exchange info. I ask him what was his mods. He replied 2000 Audi S4 Stage 2 m6 with a performance chip, intercooler, and exhaust. (also a carbon fiber hood it looked like). He was pretty surprised that it was that close for us….. I stayed a lil with them and viewed the bay area scenery and then left. I told him to join ls1tech.com and hopefully he will because they got the races on a video!

That was my first Audi kill and dam it was a close one...

good kill. i want one of those cars so bad. I test drove one on 12 lbs of boost, and launching from 5k rpms is bad ***. spun all four tires, and shot like a bat out of hell. slower on the top end, but bad *** car none the less. Hopefully you get the vids up.

I wouldnt call it a Kill but definitely a good race, more like a draw in my oppinion. I was only getting 15psi of boost when i normally get 21psi. But if you want to race again just let me know, make it more of 1/4 mile race not 1/8mile. And this time will get someone to flag it. Its hard launching and honking at the same time esp with awd. By the way its a 00 stage 2+ S4 with a fmic. Thats funny you thought you would pull me in third cause i thought i will pull you. lol Dont know where the video is maybe we will get lucky and ill get it from the guy who made it.

On the second race where (He couldnt hear my horn) even tho i heard it fine and works. I launched so hard, it was like a bat out of hell. Definitely my best launch i could feel it in my neck and only at like 3k, first time launching the car. I hate to say it but im pretty positive ill walk you from a 3rd gear pull on the freeway just fixed the boost leak too. Here she is And i never saw half a car just fenders if that, it was very close

I'm a B5 S4 fan as well...Here are a few pictures of my old one...Sold it about a year ago and bought my SS







Stage 2 mods....Pretty fun car....Got it up to 165mph on I5 northbound

but hey good to see you joined the site.... welcome! i went on couple the sites you told me to try n find you also. but yea it def was a good race man! one of the closest ive had so far. and i really havent lost yet. but id be down to some rematches soon. (with videos) i leave for santa barbara the 17 so yea. but idn man a 3 gear would be a good one... i would like to see from a 30 roll to 100 or something? but overall def a good run man... and a close one when you had to pull in front of me to avoid that car...!

yeah ill try and get the video from the guy, isnt 30mph your sweet spot lol ill let you know when we go up there again but we do need a better place to race that spot is no good

yea that spot was pretty risky. but no 30mph is a ls1 m6 worse spot... haha but yea just let me know b4 the 17
but im sure theres tons of straight roads up there

The stock K03's were on their way out and I didn't want to invest the money in a stage 3 setup....

The new owner blew 1 of the turbos up and 1 of the intercoolers...Its now a Stage 3- car with a FMIC

The SS gets the job done for now...lol

I used to go driving/riding on the peninsula and south, but gas is so expensive i mostly stick to the east bay now.

I had a little run in with a v8 S4 a few months back, fun times. I am curious to run a modded turbo s4.
