Default 07 Scion tC with 30R v/s 01 WS6

Sorry guys, no vid on this one. There will be though, but the race was supposed to be with my 99 instead. We went from both a roll and a dig. Anyway my buddy's tC makes a little more than 400whp on a base map. From the dig, light turned green and I instantly pulled on him while he spun. I must have hit 100 before he caught traction about 4-5 cars behind me, lol. I did brag to him quite a bit about it.

From a roll we went from 55 on 3 slow honks (no cheating/fair, lol). I started in 3rd like a moron(could have been in 2nd easy), but so did he which was in his favor. Third honk we go and he starts pulling me. when he shifts from 3rd to 4th he naturally lets the motor come down in rpm before putting it back in gear again. After all said and done, he ended up 1&1/2-2 cars up on me. We only went to 130 or so, but bested me on the roll as expected. He was talking about how fast his car is, but told him he will need a lot more power than that to beat my 99.

We are supposed to have a best out of 3 in between the tC and the 99. Who ever wins buys Dunkin Donuts for a year, lol. Just a friendly wager I post videos next time.

He's waiting to put a couple more things on and really needs a tune bad. I think it's going to be a good race when I get the 99 back up(hopefully today, fingers crossed). 500fwhp v/s 450(+/-)rwhp H/C TA. I really wish I would have started in 2nd though, might have brought a half a car less on what he pulled. I did tell him though,"remember I'm stock. What do you think another 150 hp will do"

so your 2001 is only 309rwhp... and a 400 fwhp scion couldnt beat you from a dig and barely beat you form a roll?
he must be a horrible driver. because he should have you beat in the HP/weight ratio fairly easily.

He doesn't get traction until somewhere in 3rd gear, hence me slamming him from a dig.

Something is ticking and think it's lifter, but haven't narrowed it down yet.

I was on my car about as hard as I could. He took his time with me, he did go WOT though. But, like I said above let the motor naturally come down in rpm instead of powershifting it from 3rd to 4th. With the amount of money he has tied up in the thing he could easily have a low 10 second vette. Atleast that's what I keep telling him.

I'm not sure on the weight but figure the curb that Scion says is 2905 plus all the crap he has in it (chassis, stereo, turbine/intercooler plumbing), i would say 3200lbs or so without him in it.

Sorry, I don't care if it is 8 second 'capable' (or even if it could actually run high 8s), it is STILL a Scion.
The epitome of rice regardless of how fast, or how much coin is dumped into it. :

That's the kind of attitude that gives us a bad name. It's not rice just because it's a Scion...

OK, fair enough.

You like what you like, I'll like domestic nameplates.

I agree, but he already beat someone with H/C on here. All I know is it's a decent size came to go with TFS heads. The car is fast, but I do agree it is an import. Although it's not the typical honda with a fart can on the back of it claiming he's quick.

I'm not a big fan of tC's either since the majority of the owners ARE in fact ricers, but a well built car is a well built car.

Sweet, just to warn you though. He is going to be jumping from 15 to over 25psi when he gets his stand alone fully tuned. I've already talked to him about going to Dover to meet up with the crew

NO THANKS.

I'll leave that to you to sell your domestic nameplate and buy one of these TOYS that you respect and worship so vehemently!

That's all your opinions are worth from now on.

I for one will NEVER own one of your Japanese nameplated rides (not even the 'fast' ones).
