Since I got my new engine running, an aquaintance with a 2000 Mustang GT manual w/ bolt ons (intake, exhaust, chip), has been wanting to run me. So we decide to make a run on the freeway really late at night. Traction was a problem for me and we were bumper to bumper till about 25-30MPH, when my tires (295/50-15) grabbed all the way, and my car pulled away hard from him. I had a couple of car lengths by the top of 1st and a couple more through second. I lifted at about 90mph and he slowed down too. I know a bolt-on 4.6 isnt too great but im pretty happy with the cars progress.

Damn, those are some big *** tires. is that 10.5 or 11 inches wide? I'm not up to par on the whole tire thing... and the 50 is the aspect ratio, correct? Those are some damn monsters. Good kill!

Mounted on a 15x8.5" rim, I think they are closer to 10.5" Too bad they are just regular radials (eagle GT II). I still have traction problems, its a combination of my converter and the 430 lbs/ft. ( desktop dyno est.)
