I guess I just need to make it down to Florida more often!!! Hmmmm, my parents just moved down there and have been trying to get me to visit...![Secret2](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/secret.gif)
PS - the video link in your sig to your Cobra won't load for me. The page loads, but the video won't do anything or even display the length of the video.

For those who wanted to know more recent times I went to the track tonight and got eliminated because I beat my dialed in time of 11.49. I ran an 11.40@119mph with a 1.56 60ft. The reason I dialed in an 11.49 was because on my time trial (which was right after driving the car to the track, about an hour away) was a 11.51@ 118mph. The longest the car cooled off was 30 minutes between runs. So if I can get the car cooler than that and get some better air it should run at least in the 11.30's. Not bad for a full weight 3600lb H/C/I car..
Very nice bro, your scareing me now. I don't see any 11.30's without turning the boost up.

for 1 I'm 23 and besides that I have yet to meet someone with a hemi anything that was even a mile from modest...so I'm sorry the hemi brethren you wish to defend are MOSTLY douchebags, but I call em like I see em
Not my fault I get revved at and scowled upon by every inbred dumbfuck with a flowmastered hemi vehicle just because they think they can race and win against everything on the road in hopes of making their peepees grow a 1/4"
mustang guys are the same way, but sadly I can't say the same for ls1 cars because I rarely see any that aren't driven by 40-60 year olds who don't give 2 ***** about street racing
j/k i'm from Ar. too

The track has been closed all summer for a complete rebuild. When I ran it last spring it had exhaust tune and a lid, it went 13.4 at 103. Since then I have added the D1SC and all supporting mods, 4.10's, 3200 converter/built trans, upper and lower control arms, aluminum driveshaft, I am hoping for mid ro high elevens, I have it pullied and mildly tuned to save the weak rods. The track is set to open around Oct. 20.

Well I ran a new best time tonight.. I ran an 11.30 @120mph with a 1.54 60ft. My best 60 ft. for the night was a 1.52 but on that pass I pulled the filter out and for some reason the car bounced off the rev limiter from 2-3 gear shifts. My time was an 11.33@ 121mph. I think if I wouldn't have bounced of the limiter I would have ran an 11.2X pass for sure.

Very Nice, how come they always stay back like 100 feet? Is it that embarrasing
I have this kid in a Hemi Charger that keeps trying to get me to run him. My buddy told him that it was a Cobra not just any old Mustang, then the guy kinda calmed down. Now he put on some long tubes and has been messing around with his Predator Programmer and wants to run. I think some people don't realise how fast a fast car really is.

My 02 camaro z28 is bone stock. I smoked a srt8 the other day. Yes they are very cocky, but someone should have told this guy that he should be trying to race in a charger, and not in his jeep lol

LMFAO!! Did he know you were racing or was it parked? Or did you later realize it was an R/T? A, B, C or D, all of the above. Only 4 choices.

LOL!!!! How many dumb dudes here confuse a RT with a SRT8 is beyond me....If a STOCK LS1 SMOKED a "SRT8" please go and check the cars badges again...you could have run a V6..

Hey man, you will find that LS1tech members are so well informed that even your own peers will rip on ya if your story sounds crazy. The only one that a stock LS1 will smoke is the RT. The SRT8's are very strong cars and more than capable of outrunning stock LS1's, though not by much. A realistic race would end in a tie for the most part with the edge going to the SRT8's.

I get pissed off just hearing about "cocky SRT" owners. I own an SRT and love the way the car drives. It's got enough power to make me feel like it's not going to get its *** handed to it by a minivan. I try not to race too much because I don't want to find out what this car can and cannot lose to. I know for one that I have lost to a (hopefully modded) 350z in a roll race. That being said, however, every SRT I've seen on the road, that the driver and I have made eye contact, has exchanged a friendly head nod or wave. When I owned the z28, no ls1 drivers would ever wave (unless I knew them from a forum or a hangout), they just wanted to race. It's a shame people aren't classified as ******** because they're ********. They're classified by the car they drive.
