Default Help Adjusting Koni/Strano, almost gave a gf a concussion!

So story goes... I am done installing all of the suspension goodies and so the gf and I go out for a drive. As we drive through shitty roads having her complain about how much it hurts her neck, we pull up to the drive way where I stop half way so my front doesnt scrape and the rear stops in a way that has her jerk her head so fast that even I felt it! She hates this car so so much more now! lol.

Let me tell you though, the car itself feels completely different. Much more planted on the ground but for daily driving I need help adjusting it to make it a bit more driveable on the freeway without having to chatter my teeth on bad roads. The goodies with the adjustments are the following:

- Strano Springs
- Koni 4/3 Shocks (Fronts are 4 sweeps less than full firm, rears are +1 full soft)
- Strano Hallow Front/Hallow Rear
- BMR N/A LCA
- BMR PHB
- BMR Weld-In Relocation Brackets

What I am really looking for is Koni settings with the following hardware. Let me know what everyone else is running. I have a feeling my car is way too firm. I am taking it to get the wheels/tires reblanaced and the adjustment re-done now too on friday.

Many Thanks!

I hate to say it, but shitty roads will always feel like shitty roads! If most of the roads you drive on are bad, put the stock springs back on and run them with the koni's. Stiffer springs and less suspension travel, not a good combo for bad roads.
FYI, Koni's have great valving, but they're not miracle performers!

IMO, set them on full soft then work up from there.

Sounds like you need a second car for the girlfriend so you can enjoy a car that handles.

Sounds like the g/f needs adjustment, not the car .

Seriously, an alignment, tires re-balanced, and softening the shocks to their softest setting isn't going to turn your car into a Cadillac . You've put a performance oriented suspension into the car, and you've got a performance type ride/handling. It will not be as smooth as it was before. If your g/f is getting whiplash going over bumps, she must weigh only ~80 - 100 lbs, or you're hitting some pretty big bumps. Half the time I have my front Konis cranked right up to full firmness, and while YES, it's more harsh over bumps, it's not something that's going to cause whiplash and nearly snap my neck or my g/f.

You're going to have to learn to live with it .
