Default Suspension most bang for the buck for launching.

What suspension are you guys running to get those 1.4 60ft times?

Just a basic recipe
Shocks
LCAs
whatever is sure to make a big difference.

Trying to hit the biggies that give the most bang for the buck.
I know tires play a big part as well.
Just list the things that you guys have found to work best. This will be for a c5 vette around 700hp on the gun. 408 stroker.
Thanks in advance.

Your going to need a whole package. I'd definitely look into a TA and the relocation bracket

Hello
I would suggest going with at set of lower control arm relocation brackets. And another suggestion would be looking into a adjustable torque arm and if you are making close to 450hp I would suggest getting it of the tail of the transmission and look into a relocation bracket. And just one more suggestion to keep the dimples off the quarter panels and eliminate chassis flex is a set of Sub Frame Connectors. Below is a link to show you what UMI Performance has to offer!

If you have any other questions feel free to ask and I will be glad to help!
Thanks Again

I didn't think C5 vettes had torque arms or relocation brackets

Interested though in what you guys do to put traction down with the C5 IRS

Not necessarily. This is LS1tech and the C5 was the first car to have an LS1 in it. I know... like 99.9% of the threads having to do with fbodies. I think the C5 guys just go elsewhere for info. Strano has setup C5's before though for handling applications.

Thanks for the replies. The best technical forum I have been on is this one. I use to have a 2000 SS that was pretty quick. Now I am in a C5 and its right here in this forum that my setup was put together. I ordered the heart for the project two days ago. I have 4 weeks before it ships. I am sure enough people that know are in here to help. Basically I just want to get my 60's down on 10.5 ET streets. Ill have well over 450FWHP. The motor is a forged 408 with a pretty decent sized cam. The car should see deep into the 700RWHP or better range with the 250 shot.
When building the SS there were things that I would definately say were more bang for the buck. Thats basically all I am looking for is what to start out with to reduce that 60. I am looking into a TA now and the SFCs really helped the SS transfer weight. The C5 suspension is a little different and I am brandNEWBIENEW on it so I could be going the wrong direction. Someone heare already verified getting a TA. Thats no problem I just want to know whats next that really makes a different over the stock suspension Springs, Shocks...

Thanks guys.
