Easiest way to install LCA's??
Ok guys i'm gettin ready to install my LCA's and wondering what is the easiest way, should i jack the whole car up? just the rear end of the car? should i put jackstand under the 10-bolt or on the body so the rear hangs down?
Just tryin to make this as easy as possible and not have any stupid stuff happen...
Thanks guys!

I used a vice to secure the bushings into the LCA. Always do one LCA at a time, or else you're going to have problems with the rear end for obvious reasons. Also I found it was easy to have one jack holding up one side of the vehicle, and I used another jack to seat the LCA into the brackets (as they are usually a tight fit-so you can use the weight of the vehicle to install the lca).

Ok so i got the one off and got the body part of the new one on, the problem i'm having is the hole not lining up on the rear end, how can i fix that? I know i can adj the LCA but i of course want the tire to be centered to the rear is goin to have to move slightly...

So do you have adjustable lca's? If you do make it the exact same length as the factory arm. Connect the front then the rear. If the body moved a little when you took off the factory one you will need move is slightly to get the bolt back in. Make sure that the length of the arms are the same.

This is why I let the axle hang when I take my control arms off and on. This allows me to push/pull the axle for and aft to get the bolts to line up. Even with only one arm removed the axle will shift.

The easiest way is to pay someone else to do it
The second easiest way is to put the car on ramps, then remove the LCA nuts and then bolts on one side and the pull the LCA. Install in reverse order. Then do the other side. After verifying your torque on the nuts or bolts remove car from ramps.

I agree. Each time I have done it it seems like the axle shifts just enough to not get the bolt back in. I usualy set the LCA to stock length then move the axle around to get the hole to line up. Then tighten the bolts when the wheels are on the car and on ramps.
