Default Car sits crooked

I have always noticed my car sits sort of crooked but never really bothered me until as of late. The passenger side literally sets about 2.25 inches higher than the driver side. My driver side quarter panel is only about an inch or so above the tire (looks lowered), the passenger side looks higher than stock should. What could be causing this and how could it be fixed?

yeah most of it comes up as aftermarket suspension problems, stock suspension here n a lot of the people even with aftermarket are only claiming small differences, I measured my difference at a lil over 2"

From what I've read, a lot of people with stock springs have had this problem. However, a 2" difference is a LOT. I'd get the car on a lift and check to make sure none of your suspension components are damaged. Was the car ever wrecked by you or a prior owner?

it is very common for the passenger side to sit LOWER than driver side. check your springs. otherwise maybe the previous owner removed 1 isolator and not the other. 2 inches is a big difference. start taking it apart.

You could put it on ramps and have a look...wont hurt anything and you may spot something obvious.

However, 2" is a LOT and may not allow the car to track straight or become unpredictable in a panic situation. I would take it to a reputable suspension/alignment shop if you dont find anything obvious with a casual inspection.

this may be a dumb suggestion as I am new to suspension, but could bump stops (I think is what they are called) effect it?

No. Bump stops are there to protect your frame/suspension components at full compression (bottoming out). When the car is sitting still, the bump stops are just hanging out doing nothing.

I agree with Gun4hire. Also, is your car a t-top or a hard top? If its a t-top, your frame may be twisted. Do you have subframe connectors? If not, along with checking with the frame alignment shop and your parts under the car, they will tell you if your frame's twisted or not. I have the same problem with my car, but on the passenger side and its fortunately not a 2" difference. Good luck with your car.

Same problem happened to me. Pulled the front wheels off the ground about 8 inches with a 6 speed, come down when I shifted and it come down hard, scraped the front crossmember to hell. I'm pretty sure its my shocks though, nothing looks bent.

your just fat man! jk jk man.......check your spring compression. make sure they are all evend out as close as possible.. springs wear out after so many years, if u can take all of them out and put fronts together and rears together left and right separate on their side. and see if they all stand the same height......if not then u need new springs..thats if u can take them off
