Default lowering spring question

i currently have an eibach pro kit all around with stock shocks and i was told it would handle better and give a better ride if i switched to strano or bmr rear springs..is that true? i am also looking to switch to bilstiens soon..

The stock shocks are terrible, and their "badness" is amplified with the Eibach springs. According to Sam Strano, I believe, the problem with the Eibach front springs is that they're variable rate, which makes it tough to get a shock, any shock, to work well with them.

I had the ProKit set up in my car for a long time, first with the OE shocks (horrible), later with a set of the SLP Bilsteins. The ride/handling with the Bilsteins wasn't all that bad....

I have no experience with BMR springs, so I can't help you there. I would, however, change out the shocks, ASAP!!

Sam Strano has a shipment of his springs on the way to him. Get on the list now before there gone. A set of Bilstiens or Koni's will work well with them.

True, but that's an expensive swap to do....close to $1000. I did that swap over the winter, and while I have to say that "yes", the Strano/Koni set up does indeed ride better than my Eibach/Bilstein combination did, does it ride $1000 better?? Especially when you consider that I'm comparing a swap that combines brand new shocks and springs to the previous set-up, which consisted of 70,000 mile springs and 35,000 mile shocks....

If nothing else get a good quality shock. The stock shocks are adequate at best when new. Stock shocks with ANY lowering springs will not work.

personally I think have a progressive rate spring like the eiback kit is silly...your shock will never be able to compensate for them. Using a linear rate spring like the stranos is smart IMO
